Such a beautiful Tea Room with amazing views. Have always visited in Summer but would love to see it in Winter, although not sure if it opens. Fantastic place for healthy lunches or afternoon teas. Homemade cakes are wonderful. The House has some lovely artwork also which is for sale. Love the higgledy piggledy quirkiness of the building.

What a pretty spot. Have a coffee and cake and watch the families playing in the water, herons fishing and the cars playing chicken to be first over the single track bridge. Wander along the river to the next town. A lovely place to take a break

Having seen this place several times and the car park always being full we gave it a try. We were not dissapointed. They make a great cuppa. Scones were delicious. We will be returning. Staff were polite friendly and service was quick.

Hmmmmm is all I can really say about here. We both had the special (Welsh rarebit with ham, coffee, and scone). First time I have had Welsh rarebit and I was not disappointed. The ham they use (I understand to be home cooked) is beautiful (I'm very picky about ham). The cheese and mustard mix is just right, with a... More

Probably the kind of salad they used to serve at school in the 70's. Loverly home cooked meat, accompanied by a tasteless salad with salad cream. All for nearly £12.00. Nothing bland about the location, so why does the proprietor take some inspiration from that and serve an interesting salad. Its not hard to do. Picked out of a jar... More

The first time we heard of Tu Hwnt I'r Bont was from the owner of the B&B where we were staying back in the early 2000s. She suggested that we try "Tu Hwnt I'r Bont, Yum Yum!" She said the name so quickly that we thought it was all part of the name of the restaurant. It was only later... More

We stopped of because it looked so lovely. Admittedly it was quarter past four and they closed at four fourth five. The staff were quick to point this out and not happy, so we decided we would just have an ice cream. Massive sign advertising them. Curtly told only vanilla. Would not wish to stay for any longer.

This tearoom would have to be the prettiest & most Photogenic of all buildings I have seen, & then when you step inside it is an old styled tearoom from way back in the Tudor age, full of atmosphere & the staff were very friendly & full of fun. Food was good too

Family visit - quaint café in cottage which serves typical sandwiches/cakes, tea, coffee. Had Welsh rare bit which was cheese/mustard melt on toast. Unfortunately don't have espresso and offered cafetiere but coffee very weak. Be very careful on taking stairs to 1st floor bathrooms as stairs crooked and uneven and no handrail. Sell locally produced chutneys and jams which look... More
