Great food and environment. The food presentation was really great and the taste even better. Good fresh ingredients for a good hearty meal. The shepherd pie and the gammon steak are very tasty.

Not many places surely would deliver sandwiches from the kitchen made with stale bread? The Britannia Inn can. You'd expect them to say sorry, we can only do it on white bread today rather than deliver stale brown bread wouldn't you? But instead you have the trouble of complaining etc etc and have the sandwich you've started eating onto fresh... More

A little disappointing as we had heard good things about it. However the chap in the bar was very helpful and let us choose from the restaurant menu. We took our dog so he was not allowed in the main area. Bonus points they have a little seating area outside so we looked out over the sea. It was lovely

I had dinner at the restaurant which is very well presented with a good atmosphere. No doubt the views during the summer are excellent as the restaurant overlooks the Dovey estuary. Although the service was very good I thought that the menu was a bit disappointing with very few seafood or fish dishes. The pate starter was very good though.

A good dinner with beautiful views from the restaurant. Nothing fancy but great service and certainly filled a hole.

Only 3 rooms that I am aware of. The room we were in was done to a good standard. However, shower didn't drain properly (had to keep turning shower off to prevent flooding). Hairdryer kept cutting out (overheating). Ensuite overlooked but no frosted glass. Had to close blind but lighting was poor. Stains on sides & valance. Rest of inn... More

Years ago this place was a good place to eat so decided to give it a try again. Seems food is now served upstairs but there is no indication of that. Whoever was behind the bar had to call and find out if we could be served dinner in the snug - not something you would expect to happen right... More

Small corner three room B&B hotel that has a ground floor bar and upstairs dining room with fine views of the estuary. The bar is a bit basic but the bar does support five ale handpumps. Four of these were going for my visit including Banks Bitter and Mild, Jennings Cumberland and one of the seasonal brews from the Marstons... More
