I must start this review by pointing out that we didn't eat here, we only had a drink so my rating has no reflection on the food. A great outside spot for looking at the train station. A children's play area too. The food menu...More

I called into here on 9 August for morning coffee. A delightful setting to watch the trains come and go and it was a pleasure to be served by a polite young man who did not say "what can I get you guys" a phrase...More

This cafe is run by the nearby preserved railway and has good outdoor seating for watching trains and passing time. Good varied menu including a range of coffee in sizeable cups. A good way of supporting the railway

Called in twice for a coffee on our week-end in Pickering. Not the cheapest coffee at £2-30 for an Americano, but good quality. Cheerful/friendly service. A very pleasant garden. It's a very handy spot for watching the trains come in, indeed it's now part of...More

Lovely, friendly tea room. We had scones, jam and cream which was delicious. Proper cup of tea in decent sized cups, with extra hot water. Right next to the station so perfect if you are on the steam train.

Just paid £2.30 for a coffee in a small polystyrene cup and £2.20 for bakewell tart on polystyrene plate! Wasn't expecting plastic cutlery either. Shameful and poor value. If it's because it was busy as it was the war weekend, well everywhere else managed decent...More

I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the lack of crockery and cutlery over the War Weekend. This was because we have not got the washing up facilities to cope with the huge numbers of customers on this one weekend in the year....More

Description
Mulberries became part of the NYMR in August 2014, and has quickly establised itself as a firm favourite in Pickering. Serving a wide range of light bites from soup and sandwiches to a bowl of wedges, as well as breakfast, home made cakes and scones and meals which can include lasagne, pie and mash and many other favourites. The menu changes daily, so make sure you ask to see the specials board. In the summer take advantage of the outdoor seating, where you can sit and watch the engines as they run round in the station. We are also licensed, so you can enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple.
