I walked over the cliffs from Ilfracombe (3 miles) and had a lovely lunch (baked camembert and bread) and local ale (sitting by the log burner) before walking back. I chose this pub in my planning as it said it was dog friendly and it is. Dogs allowed inside and out and my dog got a lovely welcome from the... More

We love coming to the Grampus, where we live in Birmingham there is nowhere quite like it. Its quite out the way but definitely worth the drive down into Lee Bay, which is also lovely. We often come in the winter, and even out of season you'd be lucky to get a table on a busy Friday night! The locals... More

We had a very enjoyable evening at this lovely pub last night. Good to receive a warm welcome when we arrived. The food and local Hoppy Dog beer were delicious followed by some fantastic live music. We look forward to returning next time we are in North Devon

We came upon this pub by pure chance while hiking on the SW coast path. No room at the inn for food as they were fully booked. Very pleasant beer and cider from their microbrewery. Quirky!

The staff here were all really friendly and welcoming. The pub was packed full of visitors and lots of large groups so many menu items were not available. I had sausage (local and very tasty pork flavour) as there was no ham. My husband enjoyed his chicken pie filling too. The food is good pub grub and the pub a... More

Visited the pub after a walk and had to sit in the extended area due to it being busy. Unfortunately there did not seem to be any heating so was very chilly. Beer and wine was ok however the food, whilst appearing very appetising and different to normal pub grub on the menu was, with the exception of one meal... More

Visited for lunch. Good beer but food very bland. Chilli con carne can't have ever met chilli. No flavour to any of the food really. Go for a drink but eat elsewhere.

We visited three times in a week (an old favourite): tea; lunch; cream tea. The cream tea was at the third attempt - no cream because the season had ended - but worth the patience! Relaxed, friendly, excellent service. Difficult to fault.

We struggled to find the pub, having managed to drive past the tatty sign (couldn't read it) and ended up walking back up from the beach via a path of about 400 yards - a nice walk. The view across the pebbly and rocky beach was spectacular. We then struggled to find the entrance which was at the rear... however... More

Visited North Devon in August with a Drive through visit to Lee. We returned to North Devon end of October and spent a few hours on the beach with a walk through the village. We popped into here for drinks before returning to the car. We all (3adults & 2kids) had a lovely hour or so sat in the Bar... More
