A great pub with good food options. Several real ales and mixed to order gins. The food was good and reasonably priced. Close to centre of town.

The worst Christmas meal I've ever had. It's a carvery, the meat was dry and the veg looked and tasted as if they had been cooked for hours and was only like warm

I don't think it is particularly child friendly as it is a bit cramped in the bar area for pushchairs etc. But i am sure the restaurant (separate off to one side) will supply a high chair on request.
