After spending a day in Windermere, and spending an absolute fortune, our family of 6 began looking for a nice pub to enjoy a nice meal and relax for an hour or so. After walking up and down the streets, looking at menu after menu, most meals being £14 and upwards, we came across the Albert where the menu was... More

A spur of the moment lunch in the wonderful outside area of this excellent pub. Really efficient outside heaters. Good range of well kept real ales to choose from. Excellent variety of specials available. Lovely black pudding and Lincolnshire sausages. A special beef and Chorizo burger. Really good chip s and sweet potato fries. Good service and really good value.

It has the look of a traditional pub with a beautiful wooden cabin type feel in parts. The chairs were amazingly comfy! Lunch time specials were delicious, great value for money and the coffee hit the spot. The whole experience was relaxing and more or less perfect Only grudge was that the staff didn't look that happy. Although they were... More

We ate here on Easter Sunday and managed to get in just before the rush. We chose the 2 course Sunday lunch, both starters were a decent size and very tasty. I then had the beef dinner and my husband had pork with crackling. There was a separate dish with creamed leeks, cauliflower and turnip, the only gripe I could... More

A really nice family pub with good food and service. Great choice of beers and menu looked good Only one issue is the entrance is often crowded with smokers and this is offputting to families wanting to eat.

We couldnt agree where to eat and ended up here as a compromise. 50 quid fir 2 adult and 2 kid meals with 2 alcaholic drinks. I had home made pie. Which was filing in a dish with a top on. Wife had a battered fish burger. Not great. Not returning for food

In bowness for Easter weekend, on arrival we unpacked and headed for the Albert. Having been before, I had to see if the fish and chips were as good as a couple of years ago. Not disappointed !! Enough food on one plate for 2 people ! That fish must've took some time to land! A big warm comfortable pub,... More

Visiting over the Easter period, The Albert was very busy at both times we visited but we managed to find a seat to accommodate the four of us. Great food menu which we all enjoyed. Only downside was No WiFi hence the 4 stars.
