We've been here a few times and it's always had good food, nicely cooked in a calm and not very large room. The staff are friendly as well. On our most recent visit we rang through to ask what the special was as the menu is a bit limited if we don't like the special. We were told that there... More

Stopped here this afternoon with around 20 other people after a walk. There was a slight panic from the staff but they dealt with the situation admirably. The food and drinks were excellent and at a very reasonable price. Wonderful views from the terrace where we had our refreshments. Will definitely return.

Stopped in after a tour of house. The coffee and cake were a hit with our group of family members and the guy on duty was so friendly and engaging. The menu looked interesting and with a good choice.

We were visiting the house and popped in to the tearoom for lunch. We had a pot of tea and an open sandwich each, one Brie and Bacon, one Stilton with relish and Golden Beetroot, both very good. We then shared a piece of Lemon Cake, the staff halved it an brought it on seperate plates for us, they were... More

The Blackwell Tea Rooms is a little gem and we always recommend it when anyone asks for somewhere for lunch. The setting in the Arts and Crafts House is wonderful and the food is outstanding - soups, open sandwiches and salads plus specials and lovely cakes - all home made and very high quality (top chefs) with excellent service from... Pleasing and served with good grace. Light and airy dining area with nice views over the gardens. An outdoor terrace is available for the occasional dry Lakeland days.
