Two lovely people who personally run this nice harbourside restaurant. Went there twice within a short time and never got disappointed. Top cocktails, good wine selection, menu not too large but still good choice, professional attitude. A perfect place for people who wish cuisine of a high standard, yet enjoy a personal and relaxed atmosphere

Very cosy place on the water front, the inside design feels very warm and welcoming and one of the preferred sceneries I like to be in a restaurant, the managers are exceptional nice and accommodating and very nice and easy to spark a conversation with, the mains were nice but possibly the fillet of hake with onion Bhaji was missing... I must admit, not knowing this place existed I feel shameful having lived here for three years and never found this place. My husband and I were blown away at the quality of the staff, food, drinks and well everything was top notch, having eaten in places like 'the ivy' 'harvey nichols' and other michelin star or aa Rosetta star... I came away feeling disappointed after a meal to celebrate my birthday. The food although good was overpriced I felt , as the portion sizes were so small. The bill was large , but we were still hungry so went home and had cheese and biscuits.

Firstly just want to point out that some people on trip advisor do not have a life and would happily waste time and damage a restaurant that has worked incredibly hard for it's reputation with a pointless review! ..back to the review! Literally one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in, and I've eaten in a lot. I... More

Went to the restaurant last year for a dinner after work - the staff couldn't be more helpful, my boss had to hold his menu so far that it was across the harbour and then a set of reading glasses was produced by the waitress, we debated which of the mains to go for and we took the recommendation of... I'll start all the beginning, we were greeted pleasantly and seated at our table to the back of the restaurant & presented with the drinks cocktail menu, Good so far! But it took a further 25 mins before we saw a food Menu which I have to say was fairly uninspiring with dishes lifted directly from Gordon Ramsey's from 1997... More

Wonderful evening last night. Haggis in puff pastry with a whisky sauce followed by Scottish Game pie with Neeps tatties and buttered cabbage and the most delicious Drambuie cream was a raspberry coulis. 3 course at £23 pounds...how do they do it? We had a truly amazing cocktail mixed by Christian called a Highland sling with port and whisky and... More

Has a rustic style and delightful British cuisine. The meal was delicious and expertly prepared. Highly recommend to all as it is the best restaurant in Weymouth and is a hit with locals and holidaymakers.

Mallams is a long standing favourite of both locals and visitors since 1990. The restaurant is in an beautiful position with views of the bustling harbour. The Tudor beams and stone walls of the listed building have a traditional feel but are complemented by contemporary decor. The food is very definitely in the 21st century, an eclectic mix of ideas from British cuisine, with a touch of French and some Asian influence as well, always using the freshest, local produce. Seafood is much in evidence, as you would expect, but meat, game and poultry feature too.All this mixed with exciting wines and cocktails and friendly and attentive service and a really personal touch from the hands on owners make this a venue to remember. We are always happy to discuss your requirements for special celebrations, anniversaries, weddings, birthdays and we will be pleased to design a special menu just for you.
