After being seated, our children (and we) were intrigued by all the wonderful curiosities dotted around the Old Star. This kept them entertained whilst we waited for our food. Roast beef, turkey, Yorkshire puddings and a wonderful assortment of crisp, fresh vegetables adorned our plates,...More

After first discovering this gem six months ago it has now become my regular destination for Sunday lunch - and occasionally Fridays and Saturdays as well. Lucy runs an excellent pub/restaurant, frequent changes of guest real ales and locally sourced food. The roast beef and...More

Lunch out with friends for a relaxing Sunday treat. Nice table in a side room. Friendly staff who brought our drinks quickly while we decided on our meals. Traditional roast choices with loads of seasonal veg. Desserts were a bit disappointing tho.

Pleasant enough Sunday lunch but let down by cold plates and lukewarm food as well as carrots which were so over cooked they were colourless. Not quite the plate of food shown on the website! A selection of homemade puddings would have been nice too.More

We had a great Sunday lunch in this dog-friendly pub in late July. The food was excellent and the staff were attentive. Although quite quiet when we went - it was mid afternoon - we di feel that the place had a good atmosphere.

The Old Star in Kilham is a traditional country pub in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds and the local community. Real Ales and freshly prepared local meals are a mainstay. With 2 log burners and 2 open fires throughout the pub a warm welcome is guaranteed even on the chilliest winter (or summer) evening. A south-facing beer garden means children, dogs and sun-seekers are well catered for. Alternating Wednesdays we hold a quiz night. We are flexable to do take-way too, please just submit your order and we will prepare it for you! For tables of 6+ booking is appreciated as this will allow for better service for you and other diners. The pub is dog friendly, however during eating and peak hours owners are requested to ensure their dogs are under control and out of the dining areas. Looking forward to see you soon!
