Only had coffees here but will definitely go for lunch next time. Friends had pastries with their coffees, and said they were lovely. They certainly looked it. The lunch prep was obviously going on judging by the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen. Lovely Americano & also filter coffee in a good size cup/mug (filter £1.80, Americano £2.10) so reasonable... More

Café du Parc is little café, more a small restaurant, hidden away behind the art gallery/museum. Most people walk by completely unaware of this hidden gem. It was only relatives that had visited the museum/art gallery that pointed us in their direction. Our visit was for coffee and a light snack, something to keep us going till tea time and... More

Attached to the Burton Gallery is this wonderful French cafe with delightful pastries crepes and fabulous coffee. Very friendly staff and I was able to reserve a table for later lunch - we had Devon crab with roast tomatoes rye bread and salad. Delicious! Would return any time. The crepes look interesting too with different fillings. Wine and organic juices... More

If you are in a hurry, forget this place. The service is very slow. If you purchase a piece of cake you are not supplied with a serviette or a fork. It is not as good as it appears. It should be a little gold mine, but......... there is something missing.........

Came here whilst walking the South West coastpath in February. Well, I haven't tasted such decent crepe since being a French undergrad in Normandy- golly, what a great chef! You can keep your Padstow and Salcombe bistro experiences full of loud people called Tarquin , Finn or Jules- this is honest grub in an unflashy location. Loud, bustling and too... More

Not terribly impressed with the service. Had to wait a long time for our coffees although the cafe was not very busy. Pleasef with our food when it eventually arrived.

We have lunch here regularly. The menu varies with season and is always freshly cooked. The pork loin steak today and the aubergine tagine were lovely. Sometimes it is busy and noisy but that's to be expected in such a popular cafe where the staff are always friendly and helpful, the food excellent and people enjoy lingering over their meal...
