This was our second visit for a cream tea and it was excellent. Choice of plain or fruit scones, lovely strawberry jam and lashings of clotted cream - delicious. You get two quite large scones so you may want to share if not that hungry.

Like so, so many garden centers, the "chavvy tut" commands a larger sales area than the plant displays. Plants aren't cheap, nor plant pots, but there may be items to tempt you. However, the restaurant area looks over a lovely, small lake and the coffee & the service as well as the comfortable accommodation are very good indeed, so much... More

Lunch first.... there were as many staff as occupied tables but took 15 minutes to clear the table and take the order. When the sandwich came it was incomplete and the chips only just warm. And maybe the staff were having a bad day as they seemed disengaged? Going through to the garden centre there was a distinct lack of... More

Went here with family recently while on holiday. The decor was very cute with a theme of Alice in Wonderland. Nice artwork on the walls and a pleasant atmosphere. Hardwood chairs a bit hard to sit on for extended periods, sore bums will result. Food was good. I had the giant Yorkshire filled with sausages, mash and veg. The mash... More

Thought I would visit as you'd been recommended but will not be coming back and would not advise any of my friends and family to either. I was asked what I wanted when I entered the restaurant in a very unfriendly manner and when I said I would like some lunch was told that "we only have carvery." We were... More

Been here several times including for the Sunday carvery. Beautiful garden area to enjoy a glass of wine and homemade scones. Food is very good, great menu, extensive bar options which is great for a garden centre, good service and very accommodating. We really do love this place and look forward to popping in again on another sunny day for... More

This busy garden centre has good and bad points. The carvery we had was nice enough and there were staff a plenty but be warned if you want help in the shop as its hard to find anyone, are they all hiding I wonder? Felt sorry for the lady working outside who seemed to be rushing around on her own... More

Once again another excellent carvery, the gammon was sublime and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. All the staff are always welcoming and the atmosphere great.
