Whilst out walking on a circular route around Locj Achray you will at around the half way point come upon the Byrne Inn. In need of refreshment we decided to pop in. What a pleasant hostilely, greeted by friendly staff we order a drink but after looking at the menu decided to take advantage of having some lunch also. Knowing... More

Had a lovely meal in The Byre Inn. Food was lovely (introduced Teenager to Haggis which went down well!) Fantastically friendly staff and fellow customers

We ate out here one evening and did enjoy it. There was a good choice on the menu and the food was varied and original. We had a mishmash of courses as we didn't want the same but that was no problem. The staff were friendly, and the service quick. Throughly recommend.

Lovely quaint local pub. Excellent food a must when in the area. Booking is a must as so popular. Your four legged friend is welcome too.

Popped in for lunch, having been a couple of times in the past. We both opted for the 'fish dish of the day', which happened to be fisherman's pie - good choice! Absolutely excellent - very tasty, piping hot, served with French beans and kale. We couldn't resist the puddings - sticky toffee pudding for him and bread and butter... More

What a relief to go to a pub without pretensions that serves really good pub food. Nothing flashy, just a warm welcome, excellent service and a great evening. I have to confess that I like Haggis with the traditional neaps, clapshott and a drop of whisky. So I tried the haggis fritters albeit with some trepidation. The oatmeal on the... More

The b&b we are sleeping in advised us to eat here. It's not visible from the road, but a big yellow sign is at the end of the driveway. Staff was helpful and kind. They have a good selection of tap beer. The food was amazing.

Popped in for lunch, mid way through a long hill walk. The welcome (is that the right word) was rather officious for the location and style of restaurant. Restaurant itself is a little quirky in style - catering for a range of customers. Food was great particularly the accompanying chunky skin on chips. Overall well worth a visit.

The wonderful staff here turned a nightmare into a lovely experience. I had a bad start to the day leaving my bag with all my toddler's spare clothes by the front door at home, then felt a wave of optimism that she would use a toilet and left her potty in the car. We arrived at the inn by bike... More
