Came in especially for their famous fish chowder soup but the last had just been sold! So disappointed, so reverted to having a fish supper tea with the bread and butter, but had plaice instead of haddock. A nice change as the fish was so light and the batter delicious. My friend had the calamari and it was very good... More

You can tell that the fish is extremely fresh, and it comes to your table straight out of the fryer. You'll need a hearty appetite to finish off a full Fish Tea, as you get two pieces of fish and lots of chips. Our waitress was extremely pleasant, and the service was prompt but not hurried. I was soooooooo termpted... More

We stumbled across this place on our visit to Callander and the food was delicious!!! I had salmon grilled with chips! Which was such a change to the standard battered fish I usually opt for. My husband got the battered haddock and chips and he said it was like a steak. More fish than batter which is refreshing! I could... More

Despite the modern decor and up to date menu the excellent fish and chips here reminded me of a proper back in the day chippy to sit in.Tremendous and actually decent value for the fish tea as well, the manager took time out despite being very busy to talk to us as well which was a lovely touch.Nice people, great place, wonderful food.... Very friendly staff, and the food was good but not outstanding. The batter let it down, either the oil wasn't hot enough or more lightly it had been left sitting too long. Will go back. It was a quiet January night.

We stopped here during our Hairy Coo Highlands tour, and while I've had my fair share of fish and chips, this is the best I've had yet. We had a Plaice single and a Hake supper (meaning it comes with chips), and it was the perfect amount of food for two people at a great price. We heard that they... More

Located in the main road, cozy and well decorated. You can either take away your order or you can sit down and enjoy your food while well looked after by their staff. They made us very welcome this evening, the lady who served us talked all about the area as we were visiting Callander. The food is amazing, we all... More

If you're just feeling a wee bit peckish then this isn't for you....If you feel really hungry and you don't want to cook when you go home then this is the plaice (see what I did there?) for you. Lovely friendly staff delicious food. Don't forget to go to the Mhor bread shop for some tastey loafs.

The place is in the centre of the town, parking is available nearby. It is a business that takes food and quality seriously. Double frying in old fashioned ways produces a sumptuous product.
