Looking for a new place to go and chose this pub as really impressed with wide choice of food. One member of party does not eat meat and the choices were the largest seen for a long time. Lovely staff and great atmosphere. This has become our no.1 pub

We have visited here for meals in the past and have never been disappointed, visited for lunch on Wednesday, portions were more than adequate but quality of vegetables left much to be desired broccoli was well past its sell by date and I had a rotten?brussell sprout. This was pointed out to the staff but without any real reaction.Deserts were fine when they... I come down from South Wales once a month to visit my Aunt & Uncle and we always go out for lunch. My Aunt has wanted to bring me here for a while and I'm really glad they did. The food was excellent and piping hot. Be warned, the portions are a very decent size. We had to wait for... More

Came here today after being recommended by friends. 4 adults and 1 child. Took 40 minutes for the roast to come out and after asking where the food was we were told that they had a new chef and he's a bit wobbly. Roast was awful - veg separate microwaved and soggy. Beef dry as carpet and new potatoes as... More

Had lunch here and the food was very good, staff very attentive however the food took an hour to arrive from placing the order. Now to be fair this could have been because they were busy and we didn't mind as we weren't in a hurry. Not all people would have been as accommodating. Plenty of parking area, outside eating... Popped in off chance for supper, greeted with a smile and shown to a table. Good choice of mains and specials and very reasonably priced. Lovely olde world setting, staff great, obviously enjoy their job, cheerful and chatty. The food was very good,I had the beef curry ( small portion) dread to think how big the normal size would have... More

Booked here as we were staying nearby. Glad I booked as the place was packed, there were 6 of us plus our 6 month old puppy and we were given a great table in the corner. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed as if we were locals by Dave the landlord, and Debbie the landlady who really... More

Took my cousins here as we needed somewhere to eat that we could take the dog. Delicious food and not standard pub food at all!
