Hywell Jones passion comes through in his food. The fish courses were particularly strong. We would reccomend to our gourmet friends.

The guests were packed in to any spare nook or cranny, all having to talk over each other to their annoyance. This resulted in the room having a tense atmosphere that you could tell nobody was enjoying. We were shown the tea menu but were...More

The restaurant is a lovely room both in the day and in the evening, and while the decoration is quite classic, the service is not too fussy. Everyone is efficient and friendly. Our meal was wonderful. Despite its many courses one did not feel overfed...More

The tasting menu is the best option in my opinion although I have not eaten in the Park restaurant. The latter got an excellent review in The Week recently.

Restaurant Hywel Jones, part of the Lucknam Park Hotel in Wiltshire, is a timelessly elegant Michelin-starred affair. Located in a listed Palladian mansion, the restaurant resides in the stately home’s original ballroom. With magnificent chandeliers and Venetian mirrors, the restaurant has a grand view overlooking 500 acres of parkland and a mile-long drive lined with beech and lime trees. The menu, overseen by Head Chef Hywel Jones, makes use of the finest local and organic produce, as well as the hotel’s herb garden. Our favourite dishes include the pot roast of Roundway Hill pork belly with pan-fried foie gras, caramelised apples, baby leeks, girolles and sauce aux espices; and the pan roast Scottish diver scallops with tomato tatin, aubergine puree and aged balsamic dressing.
