Came here twice over the Christmas period once with friends, then I had to bring my partner because I was so impressed. Festive welcoming atmosphere, traditional looking pub with a fresh feeling, and is family and dog friendly ! The food is of a good standard too. Is a great find and will defiantly be going back.

Freezing cold , no fire was lit . Pub smelt of cats . Menu looked great though food really poor . There were 6 of us and we ordered 6 meals 4 of which were different so we can say we tested a number of items. Thai curry consisted of a large plate of rice and a tiny amount of... More

Met family at this pub on a cold, miserable day, and first impressions were of a warm, clean and welcoming establishment. The menu is not overly large, but it's a case of quality comes first, and all the courses in our lunch were first class, and the service very friendly and efficient. There is also a bar menu, and lighter... More

We often visit this pub and I keep meaning to leave a review-so hear goes. Warm and welcoming dog friendly establishment that has a lovely vibe. Service is always first class, polite etc. Great choice of foods, quality is exceptional. Try the roast dinners on Sunday or the pie night on Tuesdays. Puddings are to die for! Thoroughly recommend !

Have to say the Sunday lunch was ok. Loads of meat (lamb) but could have done with being cooked a little longer. My husband had beef. He likes a medium rare beef but this was rare and also a bit chewy. Nice choice of vegetables but not enough. I had a coconut and raspberry cheesecake for dessert. Unfortunately i could... More

Hello Susan B thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Our Beef & Lamb comes from very local farms (Allington Farm & Monument farm, both less than 5 miles from our door!) - low carbon footprint is something we feel very strongly about. Our lamb comes from very well fed outdoor reared stock and we know it can... More

We popped in here whilst out collecting cask marques and were really impressed. We had cheesy chips as well which were lovely - probably the best I've had with had cut chips. A good range of beer and cider is available and it has a lovely old atmosphere. Will definitely be going back for a meal.

Hi Aisling F! thanks for your lovely review! I have now placed our certificate in the bar so you can scan the QR code next time you are passing! I'm sorry it wasn't out when you came - Our Cask Marque is newly bestowed on us and we are really pleased with it but I clearly wasn't up to speed... More

Six of us plus my baby daughter had Sunday lunch here. We were really impressed by the variety on the menu, which are quite limited on Sundays at many pubs. I had a roast dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it, but others in our group had a wide range of meals and all were excellent. I had a pheasant starter, which... More

We decided to give the Langley Tap a try after hearing good things about it and have to say we had a pleasant night. The pub has a country feel to it and the food is in keeping with this as the menu was largely made up of game and fish dishes. The food was freshly prepared, well presented and... More

Called in here on the off chance and although we have eaten here before, we weren't disappointed. Lovely staff and a great lunch. The Langley Tap is welcoming and definitely worth a visit. The food is freshly cooked, it's not expensive. Lovely too to have a really hot latte. Would we go again? We sure would

We were a table of 8 and had a lovely lunch at the pub. They were very accommodating and our friends were delayed by an hour, despite being very busy they held our table. The service was very good and I was very impressed with the food. All 8 meals were great and there was a lovely selection of Game... More
