My Wife & I decided to celebrate our 58th Anniversary by dining at this Hotel on 16th May 2017. The food we chose, was delicious, Cheese Souffle & Moules Mariniere , followed by a tender Pork Chop & a fillet of Swordfish. We found the staff charming, knowledgeable & courteous, we also had a nice table & the prices were... More

Went here with friends for a 70th Birthday celebration. We had the private room on the left just as you enter the building. Excellent venue for such an event. We were there on a Saturday night so the bar area was extremely busy. There were plenty of staff on hand so the wait to be served was minimal. Liked the... More

After a week with friends in the New Forest we came here for a farewell lunch and weren't disappointed. Great food, friendly service, and a wine list with a couple of surprises on it (Chateau Musar for one). Well worth a return on my next trip down there.

Booked for an anniversary meal. Food is over priced for what it is and we've had better pub meals. I'm sorry but if you order a pie you would hope it came with something but no, absolutely nothing. Same with the souffle, no garnish, no bread. My chicken was expensive and by the time you have sides to make it... More

Both me and my partner come to the Kings quite regularly for cocktails at the Kings Bar. Last night we attended a friends 30th meal. This being the first time we have both been to the restaurant for something to eat. On arrival there was no warm welcome to be heard of. The communication between customer's and staff is awful,... Best bits. The service which was very good on a very busy evening as the local food fair was on. The food was reasonably priced for such a "holiday hotspot" . I had the Asian beef which was very good, lovely flavours and the only thing lacking was a touch of chilli which would have lifted the dish to another... More

The Sunday lunch is to die for. I went to the Jetty and paid almost twice as much for Sunday lunch a while back then came here and had exactly the same food at half the price - turns out it was the same chef (or so I'm told). I would highly recommend it.
