My husband and I are still talking about the truly atrocious service we experienced at the Old ferry Inn last weekend. We actually can't think of any time (and we have eaten in restaurants far and wide) when we were made to feel so unwelcome, that we were just a bother and a nuisance. And this wasn't just from one... We visited the old Ferry Inn for an evening meal whilst staying at the local Caravan/Camping Site. The menu choice was excellent and caters for all tastes. There was even a broad children's menu to cater for the younger members of our party. Parking is very limited and only on the side of the steep hill. Access could be difficult... More

Good food, good welcome and some nice local beers and ciders with a little continental flavour thrown in from the chef.

Only popped in for lunch - cornish pasty and scampi and chips with a couple of Guiness and glasses of Pinot Grigio. Food was very good, pleasantly welcomed and served by Pascal - a Frenchman with a great sense of humour!

I bought my husband a Travelzoo offer for a 3 night stay at the Old Ferry Inn. We have been coming to Fowey for 20+ years so know the area quite well. We stayed in room 7 - a great view across the estuary to Fowey. Tea and coffee tucked neatly away out of sight in a wooden unit. Hairdrier... More

My son and I stayed at this truly unique inn for three nights, wish it could have been longer. We visited the Eden Project one day and went on a day's walk on the second (Hall Walk, Gribbin Head etc). The food, both breakfasts and evening meals (we eat there every night), was excellent with plenty of variety. The staff... More

We're fairly regular here but I want to write another review. Having sampled pubs and restaurants across cornwall and the uk 🙈 this remains the best most authentic roast dinner to be found anywhere. And in such a lively lication and venue. Winter in the bar ,full of warmth and character, or summer on the terrace with the best view... More

We were looking forward to a pint and some food after a long walk, also hoping for a warm welcome. We were to be disappointed, no one at the bar on arrival, after ringing the bell as prompted a sullen barmaid managed a yes? I made the mistake of asking to try a beer as I did not know it,... More

We stayed at a local campsite for a weekend and walked down to the Old Ferry Inn one evening. Good choice of real ales but ciders were a bit of a let down, just one local cider on tap. Decent choice of food on the menu but expensive. Specials menu was very over priced in our opinion. No service with... More

Stopped in at the end of a walk. Cosy pub, popular with locals. Good pub menu and a very tasty and generous Sunday roast pork dinner for 10.50. No complaints from me.
