Always fabulous choice and colourful dishes with a little surprise of garnishes.A huge range of special teas, this time we went for the very good house tea. I had delicious fish cakes although the too many dried peas to swallow. My first custard slice in many years with cream and I savoured every minute. Very busy but efficient. We took... More

As a veggie I can report that the Hazelmere is a find. In 40 years of animal free eating it is the first time the innocuous "vegetable" pie has turned out to be a veritable cornucopia: a choice of five imaginative delights with pulses, seeds and nuts in the mix. Wholemeal scones similarly. It is only unfortunate that the demanding... More

We have chosen the Hazelmere to meet up with family several times now. Across the road from a lovely little park, this is a very nice setting. The menu is not cheap, but the food is excellent, with a good range. This is a very popular place with locals, which is always a good sign. Breakfasts can be bought individually... More

I came here with my friend and her cairn terrier and we were made to feel very welcome. There was a gig friendly area and dog biscuits and a bowl of water were provided. We enjoyed a delicious lunch of homemade soup, sandwiches and salad and a veggie pie and salad. The coffee was very good too. Staff were very... More

Thoroughly recommended. An amazing choice of freshly-baked, home-made breads, pastries and cakes, with an extensive selection of teas and coffees to accompany them. Our Italian blend coffee was full of flavour, served in a generous-sized cafetiere which provided plenty for a second cup. Our pastries could not have been fresher and were just as delicious as they looked. This was... More

Arrived in Grange early so a bonus was Hazlemere cafe not being too busy and easy to find a table for breakfast. Good choice including local sausage and bacon rolls, vegetarian breakfast, scrambled egg on toast. Reasonably priced. Huge selection of teas to choose from. Bakery attached is difficult to leave without buying something to take home.

We love the Hazelmere :) Every time we are up in "The Lakes" (North or South) we make a point of coming here on our way home for a morning/afternoon tea, from the extensive range of teas on offer. However no tea is complete without something to nibble: My recommendations are: Savoury - Melted Cheese and caramelised onion toastie Sweet... More

Stopped here to grab a quick lunch and so glad we did; really delicious homemade pies and pastries. Lovely polite waitress served us too. We took our food out and ate it in the Ornamental Gardens across the road, whilst watching the birds.

Although always busy (no surprise), the service is is xcellent and very efficient. And most important, the cakes, the brunch and food is delicious! A must to visit this cafe on a trip to Grange!
