We attended the duck as a family on Sunday, everything seems like to much trouble for the staff. They can't seem to even manage a simple hello. The food is very basic yet very overpriced for what you get. And the drinks are very expensive....More

Lovely settings and perfect access apart from the car park. No disabled bays near a flat surface so wheeling over the gravelly car park impossible. However the interior is ideal and staff accommodating Food spaced possibly a little too long between courses but service from...More

We visited at lunch time during the week. I took my 6 and 7 year old children. Both have special needs. The place was virtually empty and within 10 minutes of arriving I was told to quieten my children down.. My daughter is profoundly deaf...More

A great refurbishment, and plenty of room. Menu suitable for a special meal or simple lunch. Super location on Grantham canal. One bit of free PR; if a customer tells you the coffee is cold, then it is, and the customer should not be charged.

What a fabulous canalside location. Had a nice baguette lunch and some good pots of tea. The canal is navigable for at least 4 miles towards Nottingham and trips are possible. There is also an adjacent camping field with hookups. All together very pleasant pub.

We went on the bank holiday weekend and had a fantastic afternoon. The location by the canal is wonderful and they've really reinvented the country pub - great decor, cozy, but not ye-oldie. The food was terrific - especially the giant sharing ploughmans. I was...More

Lovely sunny day, sat outside having met up with family. Setting is lovely, interior looks great having just been refurbished, we only live 3 miles away and have been local to the area for years. Disappointingly bar staff were miserable and hostile, a dark haired...More

I have fond memories of this place from when I was a child and used to go for walks along the canal at weekends with my parents. The Pub itself has been recently refurbished to a high standard and seems to draw a good amount...More
