Were recommended to this place by the B&B - a good job as not on the main street and we would otherwise not have found it. Only does pies, but are really good quality ones. A great meal.

This place was recommended by our B&B host who kindly made a booking for us, told us about the pies - and gave us a heads up about the barman's banter. We were on the receiving end of the barman's comments as expected but being...More

Truly characteristic military style bar. Yet, at dinner time, much more quiet than we expected :-D We had to wait 40 minutes for our Chicken of Aragon and Freeranger Pies, but it was worth it… delicious!!! Service: quick and professional. Price per value: maybe a...More

Description
This bar/restaurant haz a lovely feel about it. There is a small bar with an open fire. Speciality food..pies. A variety of pies to choose from including vegetarian fillings. The supplier provides the uncooked pies and the bar cook them. We were told exactly how long we would need to wait before we could eaf right from the start. All pies served with chips anx and cost about £7.25ish. Beans and gravy cost extra. Tbe pies are to die for.
