A friendly and comfortable environment with a great choice of dishes. I really appreciated the excellent quality of the food and the creative touch of the chef. Absolutely recommended.

We enjoyed a lovely meal here on a Friday evening and although the pub was busy, we did not have any complaints about the service. Friendly staff and some great food. Go hungry as the portions are not stingy! Nice choice menu, with vegetarian options plus a specials board. There has to be something for everyone here. Lovely old pub... More

We went to the Plume recently for a mid week treat and had a lovely time. Four of us each had different meals and we were all pleased with our choices. The lamb pie was tender, the fish beautifully cooked, the steak was perfect for medium rare and the curry had just the right amount of spice. Stu served us... More

Visited with Friends, service a tad slow, We had to keep asking for drinks, menus etc. Waited a long while for waitress to take order. Food was quite a while coming.Generally food ok but not mouthwatering. Not sure if we would go back. I felt the place had lost its edge.

Booked a table here for our Mother's Day meal. Once seated we ordered our starters - scallops, potato skins and a baked Camembert to share. After waiting over 1/2 hour they finally arrived....potato skins burnt and inedible. Then we noticed (after already eating some) that the Camembert was in fact over a week OUT OF DATE!! Waiting a further 15... More

Went here for an evening meal with 2 friends, food not bad and reasonable price. The pub is in need of a complete refurbishment, it's a lovely old building but is desperate for a facelift. Staff were pleasant and service was good.

had lunch today, excellent food and service - we both had the meat pie with mustard mash and fresh beans and carrots - the pastry was crisp and the filling was just full of meat - £10.95 - and the gravy was delicious. Lovely old pub, warming and welcoming atmosphere - open fire which was nice on a cool day... More

We were celebrating my step daughter's Birthday and from the moment we walked into the Plume of Feathers until the time we all left, the service, staff and the food was great. There were 7 of us and we all had various meals. A few of us had the 'black' rock grill, basically a piece of lava rock where you... More

I knew of the Plume of Feathers because my mum used to work there but had never visited. Me and my gf went there last year and ordered Lava Rock Fillet Steak, that was an interesting experience. Really enjoyed it and what a way to try my first fillet. Lovely little place, good service and amazing food.

Thank David P
