This was once a historic and interesting coaching era inn, but after a terrible fire it was opened as a trendy open-plan space with an unremarkable restaurant
Closed and boarded up on 15 September 2013. It seems that the previous predictions were correct. Sad, because this place has a long and proud history.
The reviewer who mentioned fawlty towers has it right. Rhe worst eating experience I've had in many years.

It's so depressing that a once bubbly, warm inn and restaurant now seems delapidated and pathetic. Interior design and cutlery aside our food took 45 minutes for two special Sunday lunches. God only knows what was being done to the dishes whilst in the kitchen....More
