Stayed at the Premier Inn for a couple of nights as was far better value than in Cardiff, attending the Wales v Japan game. premier Inn great and well worth the money. Knowing how busy the Beefeater gets in the evening we booked early for 7pm (Saturday) and that allowed enough time to get back from Cardiff after the game.... More

3rd time we have stopped here for evening meal. It is always very busy but we were lucky having arrived at 6pm ish. We were seated quickly after a warm welcome (same as last time). Waitress (Sarah) was very pleasant and helpfu. We had shared platter which was excellent and very hot for starter. For mains my husband had the... More

We went to this beefeater for a birthday celebration , we had visited this beefeater frequently so we made the decision to go again , we were seated promptly and our waitress came to take our order - that's when it went downhill, she could barely force a smile ( don't get me wrong I work with members of the... Quick service and polite. We had the steaks and a mixed grill. The mixed grill I had was quite good; 2 sausages were good... gammon ok and tasty...chicken ok...upgraded for a couple of quid to 10 ounce rump steak..beautiful and cooked to perfection... the others had steaks which were also fab. Will definitely go again.

Called in here mid afternoon on the way back to Wales. Ordered 2 starters with a glass of wine. Tiger prawns with ciabbata was cold and the ciabbata rock solid, BUT smoked salmon with avocado, lightly poached egg on brown toast was appalling. A very thin slice of sliced toast, a teaspoon of avocado on the side, miniscule portion of... More

This is a first time experience and although Charlie and Rachel delivered good, friendly service the Duty Manager John so rude!! Compliments to the chef for the delicious Sea Bass meal. The Mississippi Mud Pie, good size portion and so rich with Chocolate, Perfect. John the Duty Manager, reason for 4*.

Fast and very friendly service but food really not up to it. I had to add salt and sauce to the burger as it was flavourless, no seasoning whatsoever (in the burger or the burger sauce). Fries were very soft and undercooked. Massive pile of coleslaw but fairly flavourless. Dish really needed something else (flavour?) such as onion rings maybe.... More

Having stayed at the adjacent premier in we ate here Sunday evening and then Monday night also and had breakfast also. The problem with flies in hear is terrible. The food is at a best average and in my opinion I would stay well away from cooked breakfast as both days the breakfast when it arrived had cold items on... More
