We stopped in for a drink contemplating having dinner. The reception we received was less than friendly and while our wines were fine the atmosphere left a lot to be desired so we thought best to seek another restaurant for dinner.

13th March turned out to be a lovely day so a flit down to Salcombe found us on the sun terrace of the Kings Arms for an al fresco light lunch. The fish goujons were absolutely superb and the icing on the cake... the NZ Sav Blanc Marlborough was one of our favourites, Waipara Hills and the bottle was £10... More

We visited the very welcoming Kings Arms a week or so ago with three generations of family and there was something on the menu to suit all tastes! The waitress was lovely, really friendly and just seemed to read the table really well, especially with my father who is in his 80's. The choice of food was great and more... More

Always pop in for moules frites when we visit salcombe, lovely local with excellent, reasonably priced food. An upstairs terrace provides wonderful views in nicer weather, dogs welcome 😊

Stayed in Salcombe January 2017 and looked for a nice seafood restaurant. Somewhat limited for choice at that time of year (to be expected) but we happened upon the Kings Arms with the board outside promising (amongst other dishes) a very tempting Thai Green Seafood Curry. We walked in to be welcomed by the Manageress (sorry cant remember her name)who's... More

Arrived in salcombe for yet another week away, straight in to what we consider our "local" here to be greeted by all the staff and owner as though we were locals here!!! Fantastic friendly atmosphere here, nothing ever too much trouble to help us, even down to making sure our spaniel was ok (fresh water etc). A pleasure and joy... More

We ate here on New Years eve and although there were a couple of bits sold out on the menu we had a lovely lunch by a warm fire for our three wet dogs.

Visited this pub on a few occasions whilst staying in Salcombe. Our evening meal was very good and staff were efficient and friendly. Food was also very good and the special menu was fresh and appetising! Overall a good pub for both food or just a drink!
