Our tour group stopped here for an excellent cream tea with scones, jam and Devonshire cream. The cram is really more like butter but we can diet when we get home,

Popped in for a coffee but ended up ordering lunch. Made the most of the weather by eating outside where there is a nice view of the River Tavy. Ordered the Calamari salad and Goats cheese panini. Food arrived quite quickly and was really well presented. My salad was lovely and fresh and the squid was cooked to perfection. Probably... More

Granted we visited over the Easter weekend, but we found the staff who served us to be clueless regarding customer service. For example, the wrong food came out from what we ordered (we were not alone). We waited 20 mins for someone to take our order, made worse by other people who arrived after us having their order taken before... More

We had a meal here on good Friday, the food was excellent the desserts were the best we had for a very long time, and staff very friendly so on Easter Sunday we went back for the same desserts apple crumble and pavlova, well it must have been different staff in the kitchen as the pavlova had a lot less... We went for a spontaneous lunch for two. My husband had sausage and mash and I had a jacket potato with filling and generous salad. My husband had apple crumble for desert. Enjoyable fresh food with friendly helpful service. Pleasant outside seating area overlooking the river. Great for small groups and Families too. Lots of choice including a specials board.

Lovely setting. Clean and appealing , lovely fresh roses on the table. The staff were excellent. I had mushroom omelette . This was excellent. It came with salad and coleslaw which was nice. The meal was spoiled by hard inedible chips. I suggest they find a new supplier for their frozen chips. Another of our party had fish and chips... More

Excellent value, and delicious cream tea, 2 scones, a well filled dish of cream and jam, with a decent pot of tea. Lovely well cooked and filled Jacket Potato. The staff were extremely busy but polite and efficient. We will return.
