As soon as we walked in the staff welcomed you with a smile, took us straight to a table handed us the menus and asked us what we would like to drink. the atmosphere was amazing. we didn't have wait long until we had our drinks and our orders were taken. Five minutes after we had soup in a little... More

What delicious food at the cowshed! The braised beef was incredible, melted in your mouth. (And huge!). Divine desserts. Lunchtime offer such a great deal. A lovely family gathering.

Was a little disappointed on our first visit here. We went for Sunday lunch with friends who had been before a.d we opted for the three course meal at £24.95.I chose the prawn cocktail for starter which was pleasant enough but no butter or the brown bread and very little lettuce. Beef was my choice of main meal. Good amount... More

It's a bit of the beaten track but worth a visit. Bigger than expected, clean with nice quirky paintings. We went for Sunday lunch. They do 2 or 3 courses for £19.95 or £24.95. Good choice on menu except if you are vegetarian-the only option was risotto which may not be to everyone's taste. Food arrived hot and tasty with... More

Having visited this establishment not too long ago i expected good things..... My family and i booked for Sunday Lunch...the menu catered for most tastes and to be fair the food was good.....although more than two carrots in the roasted veg for three people would of been nice Our biggest upset as it was with other diners around us was... My husband and I have been here several times in the last 2 years, more recently for our valentines evening meal. The food is always well presented, enjoyable with a varied menu to choose from. I feel you are assured of a good quality meal and polite service when dining here.

This restaurant is fabulous. It's off the beaten track but well worth a visit. The food is freshly cooked to a very high standard. It's more expensive than a pub with 3 courses costing approximately £30 but well worth the extra cost. I just have one small comment to make in that their vegetarian choice isn't great. At the time... More

I visited The Cowshed with a large party of friends. It was my first visit to this restaurant but certainly won't be my last. The food was excellent, the service was first class, nothing too much trouble for the friendly, efficient waiting staff. Fabulous experience, can't wait to return.

Description
Set in the South Staffordshire countryside on a working farm just one mile from the village of Pattingham, The Cowshed has been converted into a fantastic contemporary restaurant. Originally the Clive Farm Dairy, the dining room now boasts a stunning interior featuring rustic oak beams and a mezzanine balcony area. The Cowshed's classic modern British menu, under instruction from Head Chef Joe Whitehouse, features favourites such as the pan-seared scallops with pancetta and sherry jus served with ciabatta toast; pan-roasted duck breast served with a zesty potato cake finished with a kumquat and grenadine jus; and the restaurant's signature Cowshed game pie stuffed with quail eggs and served with a sharp home made chutney.
