Popped in for lunch and a pint. I was recommended to try the Beef Stroganoff by a member of the bar staff it was delicious, well priced and there really was enough although being greedy I scraped the plate. Two good real ales make this a place well worth visiting.

Went to this pub on Wednesday 1 March. A first visit since it changed hands from a traditional pub. We waited about 40 - 45 minutes before someone decided to take our order! The food when it finally arrived was acceptable. We had the jack daniels sizzling beef which was quite tasty despite the beef being quite tough. When we... More

Been here 3 times now. Such a great varied menu in a great pub restaurant. We are all over this now. Quality of ingredients were top form. Fast service with a smile. Please don't go. We don't want everyone to know. I won't get a table then ! From cannock this is the best all rounder.

We dropped into the Wheatsheaf yesterday with some friends from Ellesmere Port for a drink, not realizing that that the pub set up is more about Sunday Lunch rather than a quiet drink. We haven't been to this pub for a long time. We ended up having our lunch in the pub. The food was really lovely, good value and... More

Dropped by for Sunday lunch and despite the pub being very busy, we were offered a table. The Sunday lunch deal is 3 courses for two at £25.95..an absolute bargain for the quality of food and portion size. You have a choice of 4 starters , we opted for the breaded mushrooms with garlic mayo, 3 meats (beef, turkey or... More
