Treat yourself to a proper pub. Ye Old Reindeer is a blast from the past that has not been spoilt. Still has loads of original woodwork and character. Great menus. If you just want a quick pint you also have free newspapers to read. Always...More

A really warm welcome and lovely staff. As a veggie I went for the feta wrap with lush fluffy chips on the side One criticism in that the wrap was very damp therefore sticky and unpleasant to hold and for me it's definitely finger food...More

Have visited the Ye Olde Reindeer pub in Parsons Street, Banbury on several occasions now. Although I haven't eaten here, it surely is one cosy, characterful, and full of history public houses. Very friendly staff, well kept Hook Norton Ales ( try the Hooky Gold!...More

This is such a lovely pub to have a drink in so thought we'd try the food-menu looked promising- pub classics and a few specials on the menu. The food isnt cheap-11 quid scampi and chips and 13 pounds for fish and chips. Unfortunately the...More

If you're here for a meal like we were, look for or ask about their specials. They're fantastic! The service, the beer, the food (the fries!) were spectacular. You won't regret stopping by.

I have visited several of the Banbury restaurants in the top 20 of the tripadvisor list (and unfortunately several below the top 20 too) I'm honestly surprised that the Reindeer isn't in the top 3 of that list... If we were only reviewing restaurants doing...More

Owners of Rein Deer Inn: My husbands family (Hobley) owned posting houses, pubs, in Banbury. Imagine my surprise to find MY family (Blencowe) owned Rein Deer! This lends itself to the idea that we didn't get it right ii the 1700's and we are doing this again...Do you have any records of the Blencowe family or even Hobleys? The families must have known each other. ...Thanks...

Ye Olde Reine Deer Inn is the oldest public house in Banbury. Situated halfway down Parsons Street, in the town centre no visit to Banbury is complete without a visit to Ye Olde Reine Deer. A Hook Norton Brewery pub ensures the offering of mainstay Hooky beers and a seasonal guest, its even the breweries 'flagship' pub. The pub itself is over 400 years old and steeped in history and local folk law. The Globe room a hidden gem to the rear of the property used to be a common room for travelling gentry and is still clad in the original oak panelling, an incredible find and talking point.

We serve food 12pm-3pm, 6pm-9pm Monday-Saturday and 2pm-3pm on Sunday. Ye Olde Reine Deer Inn has always had an impeccable reputation for great pub food and extremely well kept ale. We always aim to meet and exceed these very high standards.
