Visited with wife and daughter for the afternoon tea. Wonderful food, good value for money. We had very fresh sandwiches of smoked salmon, cream cheese and chives, and thick-cut ham. Followed by a large scone with clotted cream and jam and then two slcies of home-made cake each, garnished with fresh strawberries and raspberries. A pot of delicious Earl Grey... More

Visited twice once for coffee and once for breakfast. One of the few places we found that served decent coffee. A lovely comfortable, warm quaint place with gorgeous food, proper tea pots, efficient staff. Some tasty cakes on display and the afternoon teas we saw being consumed looked scrumptious, definitely worth a visit.

Attended for afternoon tea for 2. Both of us enjoyed a delightful platter though the sandwiches a little small. The cakes were lovely and wouldn't put anyone off attending the venue.

This is a lovely Georgian tea room, service was efficient and friendly. We had cream tea, the warm scones were fresh, but the jam a bit runny. We wanted one cream tea with coffee and although this was done we were told we would have to pay extra, that has never happened to me before, and seemed a bit petty,... More

Today was our second visit of the week to this delightful cafe. Last Sunday Hubby and I treated our daughter to afternoon tea. Lovely delicious cakes. Today we had the roast beef and fried onions on granary bread with salad and chips. I decided to reserve a table as it can be a very busy cafe. It was nice to... More

During a weekend break we ended up eating here twice, it is a delicious lunch or breakfast destination. Both times I ordered the Welsh Rarebit, it was honestly the best I've ever had. I wish I asked for the recipe!
