The fresh-made pizza at Three Tuns was delicious, as was the pesto garlic bread we got to go with it.

Visited the Three Tuns for lunch. Staff were very helpful, good selection of beers and interesting lunchtime menu. Rear courtyard area for dining which due to the hot weather we took advantage of. Dogs are allowed in this courtyard and water is provided. An alternative...More

Went on a gorgeous evening and sat outside to eat. Had a fantastic duck dish and given choice of pink or well done. The sweet was coconut and chocolate parfait with pistachio and was fantastic. Not our first visit and won't be our last. The...More

I am a local and often go here ANYWAY but I home in on Sundays! Its a FABULOUS lunch. Fresh veggies (I'm a veggie BUT!), cheesy leeks, crunchy crackling if you have the pork! My word it's good!

I haven't reviewed the Three Tuns before but I should have done as we've been many times. The prices are reasonable, the portions are good and it's got inside and outside seating. All of the above applied for our multiple visits made during the Hay...More

The 'roast of the day' for Sunday lunch (Beef, in our case) was reasonable and plentiful. I was unable to finish my meal because there was so much. It was reasonably priced (£15.00), but I would have been happier with a smaller helping. The beef...More

Quite a nice pub near the river. We popped in for a quick drink and the boys wanted a dessert. Even though kitchen was closing, the chef obliged and 2 very satisfying brownies were served. The prices are high £7 for dessert but expected in...More

The Three Tuns dates back to the early 16th Century - although some records make even earlier reference to this, the oldest pub in Hay on Wye.Famous for its unique charm and character, Three Tuns became a popular haunt with local characters and well known personalities such as Jools Holland, Marianne Faithful, Neil Kinnock, Huw Edwards and some as infamous as the Great Train Robbers!Unfortunately the Three Tuns suffered a devastating fire in 2005, but a sympathetic restoration has brought life to the old building once again.Enjoy the huge inglenook fires, 16th century beams and the sympathetic new additions such as the garden room and large beer garden
