We have been visiting the Woodlands Tavern frequently and have always the service, the welcome, and the food of the very highest standard. It is invariably a delightful experience and a joy to visit. We can't recommend it highly enough.

Most of us had the lamb, which was delicious . Keith the chef, very kindly let us have yorkshires with it! Lots of... More

Went for a chilled lunch with some friends. Spent £10.50 on 2x chips, mushy peas and a 1/2 pint Diet Coke. Bare in mind the chips are £2.50 each, how much was the rest? God knows as It wasn't explained to me, I probably ended up paying for something else without knowing. Only wanted a single portion of mushy peas... More

This is certainly not your average country pub and the prices reflect that! However the quality of food and service reflect those prices!... More

We had a lovely meal at the Woodlands Tavern. The staff were very friendly and there was a really nice warm atmosphere. On the whole, the food was very good. I would highly recommend the mussels which were really fantastic. The crab linguine was nice, however there was a bit too much pasta. At £17 for a main and glass... More

We have just returned from having an excellent meal here. The quality of food was superb and the welcome and service was warm and friendly. The menu is varied and includes great vegetarian choices and fish is a speciality here. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the Woodlands Tavern for a meal and/or a drink and we'll definitely be coming back... More
