Tried to go in here this morning for a coffee & bite of breakfast. Nice enough environment & looked clean etc. However, waited at the var for nearly 5 minutes & no one about to serve us??!! Was 2 other customers in so it was trading, but no sign of staff!

We came across Lime Tree while exploring Chepstow during our visit there. It's a great little place for a quick meal and a break from the sights. But also has big food options in case one wants to have a bigger meal. The desserts are amazing so if you're looking for an afternoon tea snack then some of the sweet... More

I used to eat at the Lime Tree regularly and always loved the food and the atmosphere, but it has gone down hill over the last few years. Despite this I give it a try again about every six months or so, in the hope that someone has taken notice of the terrible reviews, and attempted to restore the quality... More

Used to be a regular to this place a year ago but the menu and service quality has only got worse since then. Avoid it now

Very disappointed with Lime Tree, this used to our go to place to eat in Chepstow. Sunday evening really took the biscuit. Steak and chips over cooked with small amount of wilted rocket. The steak was advertised with a sauce, even after asking a staff member about this it never appeared. Macaroni cheese dry with burnt and hard bits of... More

We visited the Lime Tree with higher expectations than Wetherspoons but were left bitterly disappointed with over priced, under cooked food. Cold burger and under cooked fries for a far higher price than a Spoons beer and a burger. I know where we will choose next time!! Lime Tree burger £9.50. Spoons beer and a burger £7.40.......

We come here most weekends for breakfast but up until recently it has gone downhill, whether or not this coincides with a lot of new faces I do not know. It's a shame as we looked forward to coming but I don't think we'll be back for a while. I'm sure you can turn it around and I hope you... More

Visited for the first time with friends who have been many times before and love the food. Sadly a disappointing first trip for me as food took ages and then the starters came out with the main meals. First choice of meal from menu was not available. Food that eventually arrived was cold and uncooked and had to be returned... More

The restaurant is worth a visit. I'm not sure if it is more of a nice cafe with a pub bar, or a small pub with a nice cafe style restaurant... Either way, the food was good and tasy, and exactly what was ordered. The service was very pleasant - polite and smiling, the way it should be! My only... More

Dropped into during a stay through Chepstow, meals were very filling and great tasting. Service was quite good, great options to choose from as it ranged in our group. Value was there. Great if not sure what to have.
