Pizza is great but this is the second time we have struggled to get seated in a half empty restaurant where staff aren’t really accommodating if you have a push chair just basically told if you can move some chairs yourselves we can get you...in the corner. Probably six or seven tables we could have been sat at. It just feels like a bit of lazy service or staff just can’t be asked. I’m all for a hipster vibe but doesn’t mean it should be poor service.More

Food itself was okay although we did have to wait a long time till our food finally arrived (roughly 40ish minutes). Service in general was not the best.

We didn't book so had a 45 min wait but enjoyed a drink whilst waiting. It's tastefully decorated using reclaimed materials. There was a large party of people whilst we were there so it was quite noisy but not not unbearable. The food was extremely...good, we enjoyed all that we ordered. The service was also good.More

There wasn’t much open in Folkestone on a Monday night, but we were lucky enough to find Luben’s, which not only fed us, but offered the tastiest sourdough pizzas (fluffy Neapolitan style or thinner Romana crust) I’ve tasted in ages. The wine was good too.

Not great, overpriced, slow service, in fact appalling service, staff are nice and apologetic but to be honest completely overpriced, such a shame

We ate in the restaurant two days ago, it was a Sunday evening. Service was very slow and the wait for the food was far too long. They obviously cared more about takeaway orders as we saw a lot of those going out of the...door. After the main course no waiter came to ask if we wanted anything else, we had to get their attention. After two requests for a desert menu it finally arrived. This was a meal with family for my 65th birthday and I wouldnt recommend them.More

Attempted to dine in. Like other diners we arrived at 8.30 and were immediately turned away as they were closing (8.30?!?) imagine that anywhere else. We were told ‘good luck’ getting food somewhere else. We didn’t need it, we had a great meal down the...road. Astonishing attitude. You’re in Folkestone mate, not shoreditch. Anyway, the food we saw looked average. Total waste of time. Do not bother.More

Not dog friendly inside so we used the app and ate outside. Food was slow coming out, 30-40 mins. Pizza was ok, I ordered the Nduja but I don’t think there’s was any on it just chorizo.

Food was nice. But I'm getting quite frustrated with restaurants seemingly prioritising takeaways and deliveries to actual onsite customers. Popped in on a Monday night. Ordered a starter and a main and were there over 2 hours. In the time it took for our pizza...to finally arrive at least 5 deliveries went out the door. A pizza in my ooni at home takes 2 minutes to cook.More

The good: it has a nice atmosphere, service is friendly and reasonably prompt (though our pizzas were a bit on the slow side) and the kids meals are great and a bargain. The indifferent: the pizzas are decent but not amazing. Having travelled a lot...and lived in London for many years, perhaps I'm spoilt, but the reviews on here did make me think they'd be something special. Perhaps the Neopolitans are; wife and I both had Romanas. The not so good (nothing was actually bad): the drinks list was disappointing - no cocktails and only bog standard spirits (a couple of decent beers though), as was the dessert selection. Sweet calzones are probably lovely but not really what we fancied after a large pizza. Ice cream selection was a bit dull too.More
