I live nearby and so have visited many times and cannot fault the food. There is a good variety from main meals to light bites and a large range of delicious ice creams. In particular, the vegetarian breakfast and the generous portions of cakes are excellent. It is a working farm and it is possible to see the cows being... More

Been here before with my siblings and not been disappointed so when asking our brother where he'd like to go for lunch as he is 60 tomorrow, there was no hesitation. The food was delicious, well presented and very enjoyable. A pudding for the man (because he can), but sisters declined. The only disappointment for us was the taste of... More

My husband and I regularly visit Dearne Lea for their afternoon tea. At £7.50 per person it is the best value for money afternoon tea we have ever come across. Everything is homemade and is top quality. We sing their praises all day long. Having read the review from the previous 'afternoon tea' visitor who gave it a '1' rating,... More

Afternoon tea here, voucher bought as a ruby wedding anniversary present. This was so disappointing. You smelt the place before you saw it, not pleasant and Im a country lass. Got out the car and had to walk through runny cow muck everywhere, luckily I was wearing boots! Runny cow muck across the driveway, its also the farmyard road. Walked... More

Never had a bad meal here, only issue is the main meals could be a bit cheaper, but I suppose you get what you pay for, except £7-£8 for Pie. and chips is a bit expensive for me :) Nice Ice-cream though!

I have been to Dearne Lea Tea Rooms several times for lunch with friends. It offers an extensive menu with home cooked food and cakes and of course ice cream. The food is really lovely and you get plenty of it, it's also excellent value for money. My only gripe would be the food and beverage ordering process, this is... More

On a whim called for coffee and an ice cream. It was 3.30pm on a Friday and it was busy but half of the tea room was closed off which was fine as they close at 5pm. Had 2 coffee's, child's orange juice, cake and 2 ice creams. The food on offer looked great and all reasonably priced. Lovely s... More

Christmas Eve lunchtime and I really fancy a breakfast out of town . One thing for sure I've never been disappointed at Dearne Lea. We arrive just before twelve thirty and my wife secures a seat whilst I place our order. The wooden spoon system works well and we just have time to admire the festive decorations before our lunch...
