Visited for tea and scones after a lovely walk. Beautiful garden, shame about the scones. Mine was hard, burnt and dry, very disappointing. Worse was the owners attitude to my complaint. No apology, just another question as why I didn't like it. Very poor customer relations, they have...More

We went here twice in one day, on our way to Selworth Beacon and on the way back. We walked from Porlock to the beacon taking in Bossington on the way. The food choice was excellent and the tea rooms and gardens packed with history....More

Sorry to hear you didn't like the tea or coffee and found that a selection of over 8 homemade cakes (plus dairy and gluten free cakes) to be 'underwhelming'. Both the drinks are local brand Miles 'Taste of the West Gold award' (the tea is...More

Welsh Rarebit on delicious, thick granary bread. Followed by home-made scones with jam and clotted cream. It doesn't get much better than this. A friendly welcome, and conventiently located between Minehead and Porlock Weir on the SWCP.

Set in a well cultivated garden, and serving scrummy cakes and the usual teas, coffees, etc, this place is well worth a detour.
