Without a doubt, the best pub in the world, I say this for all the right reasons. I just love the one star reviews on here, they reflect whats good about The White Horse. I'll address a couple of points. Beer Samples - You don't need to, I first went into the White Horse in about 1987 and have been... More

Had a lovely time in the white horse. Has a good balance of areas for adults and those for families. The bars are too small for children or dogs but luckily they have a very nice heated area just outside with good access to a lovely garden for the children when the weather permits. Great bar for both those wanting... More

We stopped here for lunch and to collect our 6 year old son from his uncle this was a half way point . Didn't know this was a child UNFRIENDLY pub otherwise would have gone elsewhere. We were told our son could not be in the pub as he was under 14 even though they served food and had to... More

Got to say that we only visited here after a rather long and muddy walk in the middle of winter. There is a "beer tent" attached semi-permanently to the back of the pub providing excellent seating room for the bedraggled and muddy walkers that we were. The inside of the pub seemed cosy, but we were rugged in the tent... More

Ok may be slight exaggeration but then again it is my local (and reason we moved to the village!) Great beers (recommend Citra) and good food. Kevin and Janet run a great pub and as an aside, also own the worlds laziest dog!!!

After a great short 5km walk from Gerrards Cross a right fine break in the garden. Inside is stunningly typical of Tudor beamed publics but with a friendliness and simplicity that anyone can live. Helpful service with a smile. Good beer and crisps. Pleasant end to a fine walk.

Walked to the village for Sunday lunch with the family; roasts were good but the cod and chips were a bit rubbery (frozen fish I presume) and my duck was supposed to be on a bed of mash but came with roast potatoes...no biggie but couldn't soak up all the lovely sauce that was with it. We were all completely... More

I visited this pub early August with my wife and dog. The pub is very old and is quaint. It is a winner of the Camra awards on a regular basis. Priding itself on real ales there are always approx. 10 ales to choose from and these are continually changing. It is a beer connoisseurs' dream. There are also lovely... More

This is probably one of the only properly preserved old fashioned pubs in the area. While most are now aspiring 'gastro-pubs', this place offers very good, basic and honest pub food, but that's not the point! It offers an excellent selection of real ales along with other tipples. And it has lots of nice spaces to enjoy them... a lovely... More
