We moved to Welwyn Garden City in the summer and have eaten here a couple of times. This is a proper restaurant with a kitchen that clearly cares about the food they serve and with pleasant and friendly staff front of house. The wine list...More

This regular haunt never ceases to fail! Welcoming, familiar faces greet you as you enter this traditional cosy pub. Bar food great .... I had the ‘special’ steak sandwich. My friend, who is a vegetarian, struggled to find an option, but they went out of...More

Kind of really said it all in the title. We came here for Sunday lunch and everything was great. Attentive, courteous and welcoming staff. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we could converse without having to raise our voices. Couldn’t ask for more!

Excellent foie gras, perfectly cooked steak with fries and a delicious bottle of St Emilion. The Waggoners has perfected no airs and graces quality cuisine. It’s the French country restaurant in your home town, it’s the local pub friendly to dogs, it’s a classy night...More

Have just returned from a Sunday lunch at the Waggoners. We shall not return. The pork belly was dry, very difficult to achieve for this cut of meat. The beef was cooked OK but lacked any real taste. The roast potatoes could quite easily be...More

A pub with fine dining. Externally it looks like a country pub but inside offers an excellent menu with a French flavour. Set around several smaller rooms providing separate areas for discrete dining. We booked late for a special family meal and were delighted with...More

I would agree with the other answers. Not being a vegetarian of any degree, I have not enquired. However, the staff have been extremely helpful when my guest did have a dietary restriction.
