This was our 2nd visit to The Old Siege House, last Christmas and again this Christmas. We had a lovely meal on 2nd December followed by the disco for my work Christmas Do. 16, 3 course meals, all freshly prepared by the kitchen and promptly served to us by polite waitresses/waiters. Food was delicious and could not fault it- we... More

Having read a good review in the local paper, I planned to have a family meal here after being disappointed with my last two Sunday roasts at more expensive restaurants. The weather was so bad it made you feel like staying at home but it had not put off the other diners at this restaurant. The staff were very friendly... More

Loved the meal, service was great , waitress on her first shift was perfect. The only negative would be to get BBQ sauce in for my sons kids meal haha. I can not fault anything as it was a perfect evening. Thankyou Seige House. We visited 12/11/16 party of 7.

A group of us came for an evening meal on Saturday and from the moment we arrived we were so well looked after. The food was exceptional and generous in portion sizes with a fantastic service second to none, despite the restaurant being very busy. The staff were so friendly whilst professional and the general warm friendly ambience of the... More

We booked here for lunch on Father's Day. On this day there was a set menu. On arriving at the restaurant we were seated by friendly staff. A fresh carafe of water was placed on the table as we sat down. Waitress was very attentive even though she was serving several other table as well. Food was devine, we will... More

Very tasty home made food, excellent service, and very reasonably priced ( certainly for the lunch menu ). I happened to mention as we ordered that it was a 96th birthday lunch, and entirely unexpectedly, father in law's dessert came out with 'Happy Birthday' and a balloon in delightful chocolate script on his plate! No extra charge. He was very... More

Friendly and efficient staff and the restaurant is comfortable and airy. The food was disappointing. Ordering the lamb rump I was assured it would be pink. It was over cooked, tough and buried under far too much sauce. Such a shame. Perhaps we caught the chef on a bad day.

We were a group of seven and found the set lunch very good value at £12.45 for two courses. We all opted for mains and desserts and my salmon with new potatoes and green beans was very fresh and tasty. The wine was fairly priced too.The building which houses the restaurant is very historic, having been damaged during the Civil... More

Traditional English food. Large portions, reasonable prices and quite a good choice of dishes. Service could be better especially as we were only 8 people in the restaurant!
