I love these small atmospheric places and the food didn't disappoint either. When the food is this good it's worth the wait and on a busy night I can say the wait was more than reasonable. You don't get quality food if it's been sat on a counter waiting for you to order it so it can be on your table in 10 minutes. Ordered the ultimate combe to share....wow!! Talk about a plate full!!Everything was spot on with the steak being cooked perfectly to our request. Will definitely be back when in skeggy again.

Booked a table for last night, at the beginning of the week for my husband & myself to eat before attending The Embassy to see Sarah Millican. We have eaten here several times in the past prior to attending The Embassy & have never been disappointed. We live over an hour away & were very much looking forward to our meal!
Arrived & was warmly welcomed & instantly seated, drinks order taken very swiftly as we decided from the extensive menu what to choose to eat. Such a varied choice & my husband decided on the Surf & Turf, jacket potato & vegetables while I ordered the Salmon, prawns, chips & vegetables. Our drinks had already arrived & we were given a courtesy serving of warm ciabatta-type bread & butter which was delicious. Within ten minutes our meals arrived, piping hot generous portions & beautifully presented. The vegetables were served in a side dish…carrots, cauliflower, broccoli & cabbage. All cooked fresh as you can see both the chefs working away in the kitchen area.
The restaurant was filling up now & from the welcome they received, it was obvious these were regulars & like ourselves, very much looking forward to their dining experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meals which we felt were very reasonably priced & hope to return again soon to this lovely, welcoming restaurant & wish to thank all the staff for making the start to our night out in Skegness such a success. We will be back!!

Having a few days away in Skegness and just stumbled on Steak n stuff purely by accident looking for somewhere for dinner. What a find, we got a warm friendly greeting and the place had a lovely atmosphere. Our drinks order soon arrived and warm bread with minted butter arrived soon , whilst our order of the muscles in a white wine sauce and garlic mushrooms were being freshly cooked ,both were delicious.
The place was busy and with only one lady serving and one chef cooking we were still check on by the lady whilst the King Prawn Sizzler and Pork Loin melt were being cooked, again both meals were delicious. The portion sizes are big so we didn't have room for a dessert but from the ones I could see other guests eating they looked delicious.
So if you in Skegness and want delicious food served by helpful friendly people and a reasonable price then this it the place. I'd recommend for you. We would certainly return.

Made very welcome as we had not booked in advance. Table service was good, but we had some issues with timing of the delivery of the food to our table (over 1hr). Then we got the wrong food which was for another couple on an adjacent table. Then we did not receive part of the order. When asked as to why, we were offered a refund of some drinks and some extra complimentary chocolates thankyou. My advice, focus on the restaurant or the delivery service as you seem not equipped to do both at the moment.

After reading reviews thought I would try Steak N Stuff. Place was fairly busy when I arrived, got shown to a table by a welcoming lady, only few minutes wait given menu and drinks list, few minutes and asked if I would like a drink and order, was told what soup of day was, ordered a drink, soup of the day, and steak with chips and trimmings. Soup was nice and thick couldn't taste the leeks, bread was nice and warm. Steak came was well presented, nice salad on side, chips and onion rings vey crispy as long as you kept them out of the water that came out of the steak, used a napkin to soak it up, no it wasn't steak juice it was water. Spoiled some of the chips and onion rings, went soggy. The steak was little chewy and went cold, the plate was cold. Staff were ok did find one a bit cold stand offish, Asked for the bill and did comment meal wasn't great, no reply. I think staff were very busy. Disappointed with meal.

Sorry to say it was disappointing. On arrival, in the rain, the chef saw us through the window and carried on chopping. Then a waiter arrived and ran in saying he had a few things to sort out and would let us in, in 5 minutes and promptly shut us out. Considering it was raining, It would have been far more professional to allow us to step inside and wait until he was ready for us, even if not shown to a table. We felt it was rude and this didn't start the evening quite as we would have expected. We overheard (quite easily) the waiters talking amongst themselves saying how they had been let down last minute by a member of staff. I wonder if it was the chef? I had prawn cocktail, the marie rose sauce I am quite sure was just mayo. The best thing about that starter was the size. There were loads of prawns, thankyou.
My steak was gristly and the vegetables were bland. No seasoning. The salt shaker was broken and when I told the waiter he said, some customers are heavy handed anad they had been broken since the summer (the summer was last year! long enough to replace them surely? The stilton sauce was delicious and plentiful.
I am sorry to give a poor review but I think you have to be honest.
On the plus side, the owner (I understand) recognised us from when we came in and booked 2 days prior. It was nice of her to pop over and ask how we were.

Thank you for your review, I can only apologise that you weren’t let in straight away as it was raining, we normally try and bring customers in under these circumstances, however we do hoover before opening and our waiting staff don’t arrive until 10 minutes before opening time and do of course need to get ready for 6pm, which we don’t ever advise arriving much prior to this.
I’m surprised by your comments over a member of staff not coming in, as no staff have let us down.
I can assure you the Marie Rose sauce is certainly not mayonnaise and comprises over 5 ingredients, one of which though is of course Mayonaise.
I’m sorry to hear your steak was grissly, we do ask if your meals are ok and as I think you have highlighted here you were asked and we would have been happy to change this or indeed knock it off for you in raised and I’m afraid we never preseason our vegetables, other than cooking in seasoned water and do have seasoning on all tables, though I note you state the salt shaker wasn’t working and hadn’t been since the season, these are in working order, but are salts mills and you need to therefore twist these.
But once again i apologise you felt this was an unacceptable experience and have raised it with my staff

We went to Steak N Stuff before going to the Embassy for a show last night. Well what can we say, it was perfect from start to finish. I rang to book & left a message on an answerphone, a very prompt reply the next day confirming the booking. We arrived for the first sitting of the night, drinks were brought very quickly along with complimentary warm bread & butter, amazing start. We only had time for main, my husband had Cock & Bull, chicken & steak and he said it was the best steak he had ever tasted, and the chicken was just as good. Me and 2 friends had sizzling dishes, 1 steak with red wine & herb sauce, the other honey & mustard, and one just plain with no sauce. All were presented with chips & salad and the sizzling dishes in all cases were delicious. Very reasonably priced, we could not fault this restaurant, will definitely return, thank you.

Both me and my husband had the 32oz rump steak as it was so reasonabley priced and it did not disappoint. Both MASSIVE steaks were cooked M/Rare to perfection. We each had the stilton sauce & honey & mustard sauces which were tasty accompaniments.
The staff were very friendly and treated us well looking after us and our two children.
Would definetley recommend and will 100% be returning on our next trip to Skegness.

Service is shocking waited 20 mins to be asked if we wanted a drink. Ordered food when it arrived it was thrown in front of me with a comment "Here you go". Looking around the restaurant all other tables were asked if everything is ok apart from mine. Asians not welcome!!

Firstly thank you for taking the time to review us.
I will firstly apologise for your wait, unfortunately we have been short staffed due to a member of staff having had an emergency operation which was unexpected, we also had just set on a new member of staff, to whom served you.
At the end of your meal my wife asked you if everything was ok and you at this point swore at her and said that you felt you had an unacceptable wait for your drinks and that the waitress had been rude to you, she therefore apologised to you for this, explained that the member of staff was new and that we were a member of staff down and that because of this we would knock off your drinks, by way of an apology.
We accept mistakes happen, for this we can only once again apologise, however where we do draw the line is to say this was somehow racially motivated, this is simply untrue, everyone is and has always been welcomed regardless of race, gender, religion or anything else, our customers are our restaurant and without them we would not be there.
It is fair to say your comments were extremely upsetting to the waitress and in fact the booth behind you actually stated as they came up to pay there bill, that she was never rude towards you or your table, that being said your wait for drinks was unacceptable and lessons will be learned.

What an amazing hidden gem. We had the best experience here.
We got complimentary bread on arrival, which was fresh and warm. We then had garlic mushrooms and mussels for starter and cock n bull and 12oz rump with peppercorn sauce for main. It was cooked exactly as asked for, the chicken was so succulent, I don't know how they made chicken taste so good. The peppercorn sauce was the best I've ever had. I worked in a steak house for a couple of years so consider myself a steak snob and this restaurant exceeded all expectations.
Beautiful wine and excellent service to match the food and prices were more than reasonable with it costing us £61 for our meals including a bottle of red wine.
If you're looking for a great meal whilst in Skegness, you must come here, you wont regret it.

First restaurant we have been to since moving to skegness this year.
Went for Sunday lunch.
For starters we had Brussels pate and Garlic Mushrooms which tasted lovely and fresh.
Mains was traditional Turkey roast with vegetable which we're cooked to perfection. Plenty of food was so full couldn't eat dessert so brought home with us.
Clean restaurant and friendly staff would definitely go back again.

My sister booked this restaurant as she lives in Skegness when we arrived it was very busy which is always a good sign. The food portions were very large and very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It looks quite small but don’t be put off. Definitely give it a try.

The hubby and I visited for the first time 30/7/22 to celebrate our wedding anniversary of the previous day. We wanted to try somewhere different and had seen good reviews for Steak N Stuff.
The staff were lovely and very attentive. Drinks weren't overpriced like some restaurants. We were given complimentary fresh warm bread while waiting for our mains which was a nice touch. There was a good choice of meals and we went for Surf N Turf and Chicken N Stuff. Both came with a good portion of chips and the salad and veg accompaniments were also nice and fresh. The steak was very tasty and cooked just right for me and had a good helping of scampi as well as crispy onion rings and mushrooms.
The chicken breast was huge and had a good amount of bacon, mushroom and cheese. I didn't quite finish mine and hubby only just managed his! Would've liked to try a dessert too but we were both stuffed so will try one next time, as we'll definitely be back 😊

We had a delightful dinner experience at this restaurant. The medium-rare steak was cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic. The mashed garlic potatoes were incredibly flavorful, and the dessert was a satisfying finish to our meal. What truly stood out was the exceptional staff - they were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our evening enjoyable.

This is a little gem of a restaurant. We have eaten here at least 6 times in the last few months and have never been disappointed. Last night my partner had Lamb Shank with jacket potato and veg and I had sizzling chicken in a pepper sauce with garlic mash and vegetables. Both meals were superb. Mine was the best tasting meal I've had in ages. The service is spot on. This really is a place people should visit.
