I visited the Blue ball on the off chance of having dinner. And I'm glad I did! We had a warm welcome from William, the barman, who did explain that they were busy but would happily accommodate us when there was some room. We managed to grab a table by the bar and then proceeded to have some food in... More

So running along with my seemingly fantastic luck with restaurants lately- My partner and I decided to try the Blue Ball Inn in Triscombe. Flaunting an impressive oven and a locally sourced menu we decided we would treat ourselves. We were told it was slightly more pricey but figured that meant we would get value for money and excellent food.... More

We booked a table for 2 after we had found this pub/restuarant on Facebook and trip advisor .As a vegetarian I was very taken with the menu online .Unfortunately when we got there It turned out the present people running this pub admitted that the menu online isn't theirs and they said they weren't allowed to remove it.!!! Very odd... More

Haven't eaten here for many years but I have recently eaten there twice. Once in the evening and the second time for Sunday lunch. As other reviews state, the setting is beautiful and it was very useful for us that dogs were allowed after a long walk on the Quantocks nearby. On both occasions the food was excellent - fresh... Myself and 19 friends had a booking here last Saturday. We were staying about a mile away at the gorgeous Smokeham Farm, one of the Woodland Retreats. We walked to the pub through the lanes which was lovely. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced for what we had. I had Haddock and chips was which was gorgeous and... More

I might as well have this wonderful local pub on speed dial the amount of time I spend there with friends for lunches and suppers. This is entirely due to the injection of life that Tim Young and Jane Bishop have brought to this lovely old pub at the foot of the Quantock Hills. It has a real buzz about... More

When the nearby Farmers Arms suffered a fire in early 2017 we all mourned the loss of a great Pub. However not to be defeated Tim and Jane acquired the nearby Blue Ball Pub and restaurant and set about bring this previously great location back to life How they have succeeded in a few short weeks. Great atmosphere and very... More

We called in on a weekday evening and were shown to a table for dinner by a pleasant young waitress. The interior of this pub is very quaint and rustic with a well stocked bar and seating for diners. My partner ordered a fillet steak and my choice was cod in a lovely crispy batter with chips and peas. Both... More

Visited the area over Easter. Good choice of real ales and premium lagers. Popular pub, very busy when we visited but the locals were very friendly so didn't feel out of place. Had hoped to eat in the restaurant but we were advised we needed it had been fully booked for 2 weeks.

The have some great beers and plenty of seating outside. This is a qwerty place with a bridge across the road to the outside seating. Definitely worth a visit!

Description
Traditional but unique Olde Worlde Pub / Restaurant. Thatched Roof, Beautiful wooden interior and eaves which form the Bar and Dining Rooms. Relaxed informal atmosphere. Beautiful natural country beer garden with stunning views and surrounded by superb trees on three sides. We could go on but just come and experience it for yourselves.
