Good location and a fine selection of drinks in convivial atmosphere with outside seating. Can get very busy and a bit noisy as well.

8 of us booked here on Easter Monday for my son's birthday. After waiting over an hour for the ''meals'' to be served, we found the buns were burned, the batter was burned and the offerings inside the burned batter were minuscule and impossible to tell what it was by sight or taste. The Caesar salad was edible and my... More

Sadly I had high hopes for this venue based on their boasts of good food. 8 of us booked there on Easter Monday for our friend's son's birthday. He recently had a stroke and was in a wheelchair. We ordered our food which was typical pub grub and nothing complicated, just slider burgers, fish platter and chips, that sort of... More

Been here a few times and never had a bad meal. The staff are always friendly, good selection of drinks and the food is top notch. It can get very busy especially on sunny days but as it's a great place I don't blame people for going there for refreshing beverage. If you're in Ashley Cross, this is one of... More

I came in with a few friends for an evening of catching up. We had decided to just have drinks but after some recommendations for some delicious sounding meals from the young barman we decided to stay for food. I had the jerk beef short rib which was to die for! The meat just fell off the bone. My friends... More

Food was overpriced and bland. The quantities on the plates very inconsistent. We had a table booked but no staff seemed to know anything about it. Very loud, crowded and busy.

Decided to call in for a quick drink with my son. Good range of real ales for me and ciders for my son. Member of staff, Tom, gave good advice about the real ales (even though he said he doesn't drink them as he prefers cider!). Saw the meals being served and noticed that they did an offer of two... We just ate Sunday roast, if you can call it that? Chicken and Beef were ordered. Firstly the food came in ok time but the side of vegtables went like this, The parsnips were RAW and the swede was cold. This was sent back only for to be heated in a microwave as this is the time it took for... More
