Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent service in the nice cool air con. We ate Greek salad and lebenese bread both of which I’d recommend. The mango lassi was amazing

Went after it was recommended to us by our cookery class teacher. Great ambiance and service and the food was excellent, very tasty. Was very quiet on the night we visited.

It was a pleasant surprise to discover this restaurant. We liked the moutabel and the tabbouleh. The falafel was also good. Most of us are vegetarian. We had garlic nan with some of the vegetable dishes, and the most outstanding one was the gobi manchurian....We will definitely go there again.More

The restaurant prided itself on offering a diverse range of Western dishes, each thoughtfully prepared with a creative twist. From classic favorites like juicy steaks and gourmet burgers to inventive pasta creations and fresh seafood options, the menu catered to a variety of tastes. The...grilled chicken was cooked to perfection, boasting a tender texture and mouthwatering flavour that exceeded my expectations. In the heart of Penang, this Western restaurant provides a refreshing take on familiar flavors. The inviting ambiance, delectable cuisine, attentive service, and impeccable presentation combine to create a memorable dining outing. While I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, I believe there is always room for growth. With a few minor refinements, this restaurant has the potential to become a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists seeking a remarkable Western culinary journey in Penang.More

The so called Arabic bread is a bad mixture between pita and raw pancake dough. The Mandi tastes like hybrid Mamak, with loads of sugar and unbalanced quantities of Malaysian and Arabic spices. I had rather gone to an authentic Mamak restaurant and enjoyed a...hearty meal (at a fraction of the cost)! The Arabic pickles are definitely not Arabic pickles (also loads of sugar!). Service is slow and people are visibly unmotivated to make your dining experience even average. This was once a good place, but people have changed and so has the food. Sad.More

Either completely tasteless meat or barely-seasoned meat. Restaurant advertises itself as a Lebanese restaurant, but most of the menu consists of Indian food. We decided to try the Lebanese food and the Lebanese bread, but it was all dry and tasteless. In addition, we ordered...four dishes and the first dish came and after about 15 minutes the second dish came. Not enjoyable to eat cold food. How hard is it to get 4 dishes at the table around the same time? Staff also seemed a bit stressed and rushed to take our order. Will not be returning again.More

The so-called pita bread is NOT pita bread, just tortilla wraps cut in triangles. The lentil soup used to taste much better. Ordered naan bread to avoid wraps but it wasn't real naan bread either. We give up and will go with Halab Lebanese restaurant...from now on.More

A superb Lebanese, faultless in every detail and a beautiful setting. The starters were amazing, salads freest and the kofta cooked to perfection. No wine 😳 but the lemon mint drink also rocked. No wonder it’s No 1 around here. Truly deserved-Lance

We ate as a family, ordered very conservatively yet, we were unhappy with everything, from the attitude of the person taking the order to the food itself. There’s nothing authentic about this restaurant, just by playing Arabic songs, and calling awfully cooked food using some...random middle-eastern spices in their food, they cannot cheat people in the name of the Lebanese cuisine, the menu is a mishmash of north indian, south indian and arabic cuisine. The sheesh tawook was undercooked, the rice was nothing close to Mandi rice. Experiencing indigestion since we left the restaurant, not sure whether it was the raw Salsa served or the undercooked Seesh Tawook or the fake mandi rice. Very disappointing for the price we paid.More

Been an avid fan of arab food and also stayed in An arab country for years, this place is totally scamming people out of the Arab food experience. The tiny portion (which I would gladly called it a kids happy meal) of the food served...also does not do justice especially when you are charging RM50 for lamb chop or RM39 for Mutton Biryani. Taste wise, it was so and so. Not much can be expected after we were told the owner changed the ingredients but kept the price the same. Overall, I would give this place a 1 star for value or a miss.More

The menu was a mix of Arabic meals / dips and Indian meals (fusion with arabic). We had a mixed dip platter. And felafel and biryani rice with a curry. With a lemon mint smoothie (as we used to take in Beirut).
