Four of us had a birthday dinner and ordered the fish head curry, bitter gourd with egg, water spinach, Guinness Chicken, and XO sauce tofu. They were all full of flavour. Service was good but not over attentive. The fish head curry was half of the bill. The portion was large but a bit overpriced. I would definitely go back... More

While known for its seafood, this restaurant cooks equally tasty vegetable/vegetarian & meat dishes. Food is also served promptly.

I was in Penang for a short trip, stayed at a friend's house near Tanjung Bungah. So, we came here for our dinner. It was typical Chinese Zi Car. You can get similar dishes in Melaka or elsewhere in Malaysian Chinese restaurants but I think there is some stint of Penang culinary specialty art here. I found them delicious and... More

Found this place randomly on Google Maps as the Tsunami Seafood place we initially planned to visit was closed on Mondays. As the reviews on Google was fairly positive, we decided to try it out. Parking is available on the lot across which had ikan bakar stalls. It was just us 2 so we had prawns which were super fresh,... More

Wonderful dinner at Sunshine bay restaurant. We had egg with bitter gourd, guineas chicken, tofu with ikan bilis, sweet and sour crabs, steam fish, King prawns with noodles, sting ray with lime chilli sauce. All absolutely delicious. It was packed but the service was efficient and friendly.

Lots of reserved seats when we arrived for our special 40th wedding anniversary Dinner. Plastic seats and removable (sometimes accidentally) table-tops was not my first preference. However the food was great (Crab) and the Chicken in Guiness something you must try. I'd probably go for something a little more in the fine-dining category next time, but the food's great and... When you are tired of the typical Penang fare and Peranankan food in the city, and yearn for fresh seafood, this may be a good choice. The evening when we were there, the manager of the restaurant made several recommendations and they turned out to be good. Later we found out the dishes that we had ordered were their signature...
