Went to Swell for a family lunch on Easter Saturday. We were attracted to go there as it was a great day for a drive along the coast, and the restaurant is situated right on the beach. We found out about it through the Entertainment...Book. We experienced very good service and really good food, what more can you expect? We will be back, and will try the breakfast menu next time!More

A great find with a fantastic view. Had a late breakfast on a Saturday with my girls, all meals were tasty and substantial. Young staff were very friendly.

My partner and I visited the restaurant on a busy Saturday night but not so busy that we expected to wait nearly 3/4 of an hour for our dinners. It was nearly 830 by the time we got our dinner and we arrived at 7:10...so not happy with the wait. Of course the view of the sunset helped to alleviate our hunger but if you are hungry and want your food quickly try another restaurant.More

Love this place! The food and service are great. The breakfasts are good. It can get a little noisy when busy. Get there early as parking can be a problem. You can book a gift card online which is convenient but I am not sure...why there is a $3 processing fee when it is an electronic transfer ?More

Most important, get there early for parking (services MSLSClub, Swell, and restaurants across the road). Reserved a table (ALSO really good idea!) for 10am, and were shown to our table promptly. Table not facing the sea, but quite close to it. Outside, there is a...ramp up to the entrance-no stairs, and disabled parking at the edge of the ramp. The tables all had sturdy mesh seats which looked uncomfortable, but were not. Swell has a large range of drinks. Coffees $4.30-$4.90, teas $4.50 (with milk alternatives extra). Juices from $8, milkshakes $7, and smoothies $9. A good range of brekkies to be had from 7am-11.30am. We sat until 11.45, when a waitress told us that the table was booked from noon; but we didn't feel rushed at all.More

Kicked out after a couple of hours. We were just starting to relax and wanted to enjoy a few more wines. I understand all the reasons why but why not find somewhere for the spenders to relax and keep spending????

Convienient but parking can be a problem and the noise levels are terrible. The few tables that overlook the beach are good. Food is ordinary and quite expensive for what it is. Service is poor.

Review The worst dining experience we’ve had in a long time. The evening started off well with friendly staff and a beautiful sunset. Unfortunately those were the only highlights and everything went downhill from there. We waited over an hour for our starters to arrive,...a grazing board. A large portion of the grazing board was made up of ‘garnishes’ that you wouldn’t typically expect nor want to eat, like pickled ginger. By this point, we were absolutely starving. We then watched as all the food coming out of the kitchen went across the restaurant to serve the surf lifesaving club. Another 40mins later and our tapa style mains arrived. Once again, extremely disappointing with soggy soft shell tacos, along with overcooked and chewy scallops. Will not be visiting again.More

Our first visit on a wet winters day. However it did not detract from our lunch especially as we were lucky enough to get a balcony table overlooking the Indian Ocean. Not many on the beach though! Food was good. My wife had the Swell...salad bowl and I had fish and chips with excellent fish but sadly some soggy chips. Service was good and drinks not overly marked up. Looking forward to a visit in summer, but we will book early!More

We went for breakfast , got a window seat which we had requested. The staff were very friendly , the meal was delicious. I would really recommend this place for visitors to the state as it is right on the beach and is great

Hi Trish, I would think with all the restrictions in place over the past 3 months that it would be extended. I was a visitor so can't answer for the proprietors. Give them a call. Good luck. Cheers
