We went here for lunch and the staff couldn’t have been more pleasant. We had Chateaubriand that was cooked to perfection and presented with pride. The wine options were a bit limited but good enough.
Dessert was strawberries with cream and a superb creme brûlée....10/10!More
We ordered fish and beef, both were really good. The desert was amazing as well.
We got also both smoothie and starters for free. It was nice of them.
I have to mention also the staff, they were really nice and welcoming.
All in all...I recommend you to visit it whenever you are in Bergen.More
We had a beef salad and a chicken salad (170 NOK each) which were both really good. Portions were generous and I thought this was a really good price after spending a week travelling in Norway. Service was great with some little nice touches such...as free taster of smoked trout before the meal and a shot of smoothie at the end. A particular mention to the waitress, always smiling and friendly even when the place got busier.More
I know that Norway is not known for good food and Le Chef dies not disappoint. I had a burger for lunch and it was clear that the proprietor (note that I avoided the word restaurateur) had no interest in dispelling Norway's reputation for bad...food.
The burger bun was likely defrosted in a microwave before being served. The burger patty was not made in the store or anywhere close. It came from one of those frozen packages. The French fries were greasy and soggy.
My recommendation is not to eat here. There is a MacDonald's in Bergen that serves much better burgers. That is amazing.More
