I guess not many local people would be coming here, but who knows. Situated in one of the wooden houses of Bryggen this restaurant provides atmosphere of past times and very little light inside. Prices are on high side but if you want to save...More

Incredible meal and service. We followed our waitresses recommendations on her favorite dishes on the menu. We shared the codfish tongues and the smoked mink whale as appetisers. We each had the reindeer which was perfectly prepared. Instead of desert, we sampled a couple of...More

Service good. Lovely old building. Food was underwhelming, overpriced and tiny portions. Should have gone for a burger. If you’re looking for a different and expensive eating experience ok; if you’re looking for dinner go elsewhere.

Stopped in here for a beer whilst in Bergen 🇳🇴.. Lovely cosy bar! We didn’t eat but saw food come out and looked delicious! All wood inside with a lovely polite barmaid. Highly recommend if your in the town 😁

We ate here on our last night in Bergen and it was perfect. My husband had the reindeer steak and I had the prince fish and both were outstanding. The food and service are both great and it's wonderful to be eating in old Bryggen....More

This intriguing building is a fantastic character in the old historic section of Bergen. The food offered was of high quality, as we wanted small portions of traditional Norwegian food the tapas menu was perfect. Beers on tap & wine by glass or bottle were...More

Tracteurstuen is famous for good reasons - Historic, romantic, evocative of the locale, good food, good service, and prices that are not outrageous for Norway. This is the one place a couple in Bergen HAS to dine at,

Description
Bryggen - the Wharf in Bergen - is known worldwide as one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites, the centre of historical Bergen and a must for any visitor to Bergen. In the middle of Bryggen you will find Bryggen Tracteursted - renovated and reopened - with respect for its historical surroundings and with an ambition to restore its reputation as one of Bergen's top quality restaurants. Bryggen Tracteursted consists of "Schotstuen" - the Assembly Room, the Firehouse - representing the kitchen and in the back the Stable and the Hayloft. Svensgårdens Schotstue - anno 1708 - is a listed building and the only one left in its original location. The word Schotstue comes from "skytningsstova" the place where you shared your food with others.. At Bryggen Tracteursted you will find a modern kitchen inspired by local Bergen and Hanseatic cooking.
