Located in one of the old buildings of Oslo, the restaurant offers a both elegant and cosy atmosphere. The food is excellent and the services of the staff remarkable good.

The very best 5 star restaurant in Oslo. Expensive, yes! but it is a treasure - wonderful flavours and a genuine setting - made my day!

This restaurant had a great tasting menu. Totally deserving of a Michelin Star. The food was well balanced. The wine knowledge was a bit lacking from the staff though. We ordered a glass of Chardonnay that was light on the citrus / sharpness and was brought out a port style Sauvignon Blanc. The staff was incredibly nice. The building is... More

We came here for a fish dinner and were completely satisfied. Price, quality, kindness everything really nice. Even the white wine, I think it was a poully fumes was excellent and I would have expected double price in Norway. I would def. be back next time in Oslo. The photos on TripAdvisor match perfectly the ambience.

definitely deserves more than 1 michelin star. food was spectacular. They created a special vegetarian menu for me. The food was creative, yet simple and delicious. I wasnted to have a cab. sav. from Napa, which even though was not on the menu they were able to give by the glass. Even the coffee at the end was delicious.

Simply put, four hours of delicious food and excellent service. We had the tasting menu.No ants, porridge or nettles but lots of great proper, mainly local and incredibly fresh ingredients served in about 13 small inventive portions plus 3 unofficial courses. We had the excellent wine pairing. The ambience is great, cosy romantic and warm. The experience lasted for 4 hours but... More

Picked this restaurant off the back of its standing on Tripadvisor, and we weren't disappointed. Food and service were both of very high quality. Food was well cooked and presented well too. Service was very friendly, but not overly intrusive. Wines, although expensive (this is Norway after all) were also excellent, a good French selection. We will definitely return the... More

I thought the downstairs bistro was good, but the upstairs formal restaurant was pretty much perfect. It was small, intimate, everyone working there is more than nice and amicable, and the cooking is definitely michelin level. The turbot dish has peas that could have easily been picked that same morning. The langoustine was divine. Would return in a heartbeat.

One of the finest gourmet restaurants in Oslo, located in a 17th-century building in the old city centre. The ceiling has some of the finest stucco work in Northern Europe. The chef, Bent Stiansen, won the prestigious chef championship Bocuse d'Or in 1993. Order from the à la carte menu or try the six-course menu of the day. The menu is composed of the best ingredients available at the time Stiansen uses high-quality Norwegian ingredients, coloured by European tradition. Chambre separée for 8-24 persons. In the basement you find the more informal Statholderens Krostue, which is open for both lunch and dinner.
