Nice restaurant on the seafront with a relaxing view on Aker Brygge promenade. As the name will suggest, it's the reign of fresh fish. Being there in March you shouldn't miss fresh cod as it's the best season. Friendly service although not very fast. Quite expensive but this is Oslo.

I had visited this place a couple of years ago and it still is a very good restaurant. I had fresh cod this time as it was in season and came highly recommended by the staff. It was excellent. They even offered us seconds, but I was stuffed and had to pass.

Four course meal was unique and delicious from start to finish. Amazing service and insane view. Best dining experience in Oslo. Stunned there are so many 4* and lower reviews. Cannot think of anything to critique. One table of friends had wine, the other beer, and everyone had a great time. Ingredients were incredibly fresh. The price was shockingly low... More

Upon going to Lofoten Fiske, expectations were high. The excellent reputation of the restaurant justifies strong hopes. This elegant dining room is nicely siting by the water-side promenade, in a recently (re-)built area of Oslo, a few meters from a contemporary art gallery. This area is not the trendiest in town, but it displays a certain sharpness and elegance. Obviously,... More

We had a family dinner with 8 people. All the food came at the same time and was warm and fresh. And of course it tasted great as always! But... when the bill came there was a few surprices. Skrei was to be served in 2 rounds, we asked to have only one, but still had to pay full price.... More

The restaurant was recommended by our accommodation receptionist for Norwegian food. We went there on Saturday and it was fully booked, so we went back again on Sunday. As it was Sunday, so some of the dishes were expected to run out. The menu was simple and the waiter was very friendly and attentive.

We were lucky to get sited without a prior reservation. The place was full in the evening. So first of all the guy at entrance desk just wonderful, talk to him, the person just on his place. We went by his advice and were more than pleased. The dishes are mostly contemporary Scandinavian sea food with very interested ingredients, like... More

Enjoyed a three course dinner here. Started with fish and shellfish soup garnished with basil, Norwegian trout with mushroom risotto, and finally the pannacotta served with passion fruit and lingon berry. Our waiter also recommended a good bottle of white wine.

Description
Lofoten is an elegant, yet cosy and relaxed seafood restaurant on the edge of Aker Brygge with an exquisite maritime menu, good beverages and excellent service. Lofoten pride themselves in serving the best fish and seafood the sea has to offer. The restaurant's philosophy is to serve rustic food that not only looks good, but also tempts the palate and satisfies one's hunger. The menu changes 7-8 times a year and reflects each season's specialities. January-March: Steamed cod with liver and roe, flown in from Lofoten! April-September: Summer menu, 200 seats outside with a great view of the Oslo Fjord. October-December: The Norwegian speciality lutefisk (cod treated with lye).
