We had a fantastic 8-course "Full English"-menu with wine accompaniment. One of our best meals ever in Oslo. Apart from the last wine all were white, and it is a credit to the sommeliere that we did not grow tired of white wine after so many courses. The restaurant was far from full, yet the locale is such that you... More

The food is excellent, but the visit still left us disappointed. The serving size was tiny, and the standard compulsory menu had pork as the main course. Challenging choice. You had to oay extra if you wanted an alternative main course. We chose an extra dish making it a five course meal - but conclusion was that you either have... More

Cru is an up-scale restaurant with very tasty, modern style food and a pleasant atmosphere. The dishes are, one could say, international, and the restaurant is well suited for having conversations.

For fine dining the first floor of Cru offers one of the finest kitchens in Oslo in a relaxed environment. Go with the menu of the day and you will not be disappointed. The basement offers a sinker menu with smaller dishes ideal for sharing or combining a few orders. The baked cauliflower is a personal favorite. For both floors... More

Yes.. It is a place with high focus on wine. And they do it well. Really friendly service, and they know details about the wine they serve. But it is not the plase to go if you are hungry. First time I have spent 2K on a restaurant and are craving for more food. And I am used to fine... More

Nice and cosy wine bar with beautiful atmosphere, nice wine selection. Wines properly served and tempered. Fantastic service with friendly and attentive personnel. But....on the food side, we had 3 courses meny. I was still hungry after the dinner. Taste was really nice, but not that much fish in the fish soup. The pork ribs were 70% fat and 30%... More

Cru is a smallish restaurant and bar at Majorstuen in Oslo. Intimate atmosphere in a basement location, With good Food, excellent wine and a serving staff that knows when to pay attention and when to leave you alone. All in all a very enjoyable experience. If I have one small objection, it is that the the room is crowded which... More

I've seldom experienced bad service like this. Obnoctious waitress poured to little wine. Then her collegue started to argue on her behalf. They were right, customers were wrong. That's the moral here. Be careful, folks.

A very nice place - we ate in the wine bar downstairs and had a very nice Rosso di Montalcino. Unfortunately my steak was very poor - but our waitress was good enough to replace it without any fuss with one of the fish dishes. Attentive service, nice atmosphere.

We booked a table in the restaurant section for my husbands birthday and had an enjoyable meal. We decided on the set menu, but I asked to substitute the dessert for stilton cheese. Which they acceped readily. The food was really good. My husband however found the main course a bit on the small side. Along with the food came... More

Cru focuses on the combination of food and wine, and the restaurant at Majorstua uses mostly Norwegian ingredients. In the restaurant uppstairs food is served as set 3, 5 and 7-course meals that change with the seasons. In the cellar there is a cosy winebar, on the menu you can find small dishes to share, maincourses or just some snacks. Cru has one of Oslo's largest wine lists, with wines in all price categories both by the glass or bottle.
